12. "Girls don't poop."

Jack held the door wider and I walked in. It feels like I've been here before. Weird.

"It's nice to finally meet you." I heard Jack say from behind me and closed the door.

"Yeah, you guys have known Tris for years!" I said. "You guys are like family to him." I smiled.

"He's family to us too." Jack said an returned the smile. I slowly walked around the house while Jack followed me.

"You guys have a beautiful home." I finally said.

"Thank you." He chuckled. "I have a question." He began.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"Are you the new friend of my brother Luke and the boys?" He asked confused and I laughed a little.

"Yeah, I guess I am."

"Wow." He laughed and I joined. "What a coincidence, huh?"

"Yeah tell me about it." I chuckled.

"Are you ready to meet the rest of the family?" He asks.

"Yes!"

"Let's go then." He smiled. I followed him towards a big door opening that led us to the living room, but I automatically stopped walking when I saw a baby picture. I slowly walked towards it and picked the frame up.

"Omg Luke was so cute as a baby." I whispered to myself and laughed.

"He was chubby, huh?" Jack laughed.

"That too." I laughed with him. "It's such a nice picture." I said. "You guys look so happy!" I heard Jack swallowing and he moved uncomfortably. He grabbed the frame and set it back on the table against the stairs. Shit. Did I say something that made him act like this? Good job Nora. "Did I say something wrong?" I asked.

"Nah." He shook his head. "It's not you. It's the picture. It always felt incomplete, you know."

"I don't understand." I awkwardly chuckled. "What do you mean incomplete?"

"You know.. Like there is more of us." He said. "It's weird I know." He tried to laugh it off. "C'mon, let's meet the others! I want to see Luke's face when he sees that it's you." We walked into the living room and I saw Tristan, Luke and another guy who I assume is the Ben the other brother sitting on the couch watching family guy. "Mom, dad! Nora's here!" Jack yelled. Luke was the first one to stand up to greet me and turned around.

"Whiney?" He asked confused.

"Hey Lucas." I laughed.

"I should've known!" He yelled and I laughed. He gave me a hug and then his parents came in. They came in like nothing could stop them from ruining their day. Until we locked eyes.

There was a very very long awkward silence where the parents just stared at me with wide eyes and me looking desperately around the room for someone to speak. Luke, Ben and Tristan were already in the living room, but they just watched us being awkward with the most confused faces that I've ever seen.
