"Dad! Dad! Please tell me the story how you, and mom met again!" Said the black haired boy as he ran towards his father with glee. "A-Again? Don't you want me to tell you a different story?" The father questioned as the boy shook his head and replied, "No! I love that story. And I'll never get sick of it!"
"If you say so, but you have to go to sleep after this story" He requested, while the boy smiled. "Mhn! I'll sleep after you tell me that story." The boy ran up to his room as his father followed. "Slow down kiddo. Your old man isn't as fast as you." "Hah! I finally beat you at somethin'!"
"Maybe next you can actually beat your old man in a fight." The father sat down on the boy's bed, and patted the child's head. "Now how did the story go again?" He asked as the boy pouted. "You were laying down on a shaded tree dad!"
"Oh yeah. So, there I was minding my own business, and resting under a large tree, but then I felt someone poke my cheek."
"hmmn." I groaned and swatted off whatever, or whoever poked my cheek, but then I felt my sides being poked. "Stop it! I'm ticklish there!- ahah-hah!" I laughed, and saw a girl with sparkling red eyes staring at me.
"Ahh!" we both yelled out as I backed away and hit the trunk of the tree. "Atata...That hurt- Who the hell are you?! And why were you poking me?!" I yelled at her in a pit of rage, causing her back away.
"I-I should be the one asking you! Your the one whose resting near my shrine!" "Shrine? When was a shrine built on this mountain?" I asked out of curiosity. "The shrine has been here for a long time now. My great grandfather's father guarded this Shrine, and it was my family's job as the protectors of this shrine, a-and since you were intruding. I thought you were a bad guy."
"I'm no intruder. I live in these mountains. I have a house a few meters from this spot." "You live in these mountains? How long have you been living here?" She asked.
"A few years, I've lost count."
"Uhm. Why do you live alone. Instead of living in the town?"
"I'm not good with people. So, I decided to live in the mountains where it's peaceful, and no humans would bother me." She looked at me with a confused look, and asked; "Humans? Why do you people humans? Aren't you human yourself?"
"U-Uh ye-yeah! I-I've just been around animals, and it's been quite a long time since I saw a human- I mean person in these mountains." I stuttered, causing her to let out a chuckle. "y-you're weird you know that? I never got your name."
"Shinokaze. Shinokaze Yatogami, and what's your name?" I asked as she smiled at me. "My name is Akimori Hime. I'm a priestess in training. It was nice meeting you Shikaze, but I need to go. My mother is still waiting for me in the shrine. Till we meet again." She ran off back to god knows where. Leaving me dumbfounded. "...Priestess in training eh? She's completely clueless. She couldn't even sense my actual presence." I wide grin rolled onto my face.
"Have human senses dull over the past? I guess now I can go visit that town she's talkin' about" A long black tail whipped out of my back and long black horns protruded on top of my head. "Maybe I'll visit the shrine first eheh-heh."
