(a/n) We're on the last leg of this story guys! :) We're nearing the end TT.TT 7 more days :) I've decided this story has gotten a little bit too gloomy. Their last days should be quite happy right? TOO MUCH GLOOM! :D

xxxvi : cliche
❝an expression, idea, or element of an artistic work which has become overused to the point of losing its original meaning or effect❞

[Day 43]

At daybreak you knocked at my door, a tray of waffles and tea in your hands accompanied with flowers in a vase. You gave me a smile, and it was the kind of smile that made you weak in the knees and melt inside, the kind of smile that brightened your day. I gave you a smile back, one not as bright as yours, dimmed with a touch of uncertainty and a bucket load of doubt. Your smile didn't falter and I let you in.

You set down the tray at the edge of your unmade bed, the same one I've invaded since the first day, the same one that still smells like you, the same one you hadn't the pleasure to have the comfort of because I was here... I knew that would soon change it was only a matter of time.

You take the lamp off your night stand and place it on the floor before lifting it up off the floor and bringing it to the other side of the room, beside your window. You open the curtains wide, letting out a sigh, a close lipped smile still on your lips, contentment flooding your expression.

"There," you say admiring the view of the rising sun outside the window, you turn your head to look at me, still standing next to the tray of food, "You've always said this room was too dark. I think I agree with you now. It does look pretty gloomy." You say chuckling at your words.

You drag two chairs opposite each other by the night stand.

You walk back towards me, taking my hand, leading me to sit down on one of the chairs before taking the tray and setting everything in front of me.

I still honestly don't know how to react. I'm still struck by your smiling face and how everything seems so... Normal.

You give me a smile, reaching your hand across the table to squeeze mine.

"It's been a long time since we've watched the sunrise over breakfast." You say simply.

I snap out of it and nod, a small smile gracing mine as well, "Yeah.. I know." I look down not interested in thinking about how I left.

I hear you sigh from across the table and I decide that it wasn't real contentment and joy you had me face when I opened the door. It was just you being the same optimistic Greyson you've always been. You we're doing this for the both of us. You wanted to savor the last days and I didn't know what I was doing. If you we're willing to jump, then I should jump in with you. If you we're willing to take the risk of a broken heart, I would to.

Instead of taking your hand off mine like I thought you would, you kept it there and squeezed it tighter forcing me to meet your eyes. I lifted my eyes to meet yours and the emotions that clouded your features made me want to cry.

"Julianne... Please. Try... For me. Please." You pleaded.

You must have really wanted this, I thought in my mind.

I took a deep breath, closed my eyes for the moment and nodded to myself making up my mind. I opened my eyes again and stared back into your beautiful eyes. I allowed one of my best smiles to grace my lips, I lifted your hand and with two hands I held it to my lips and kissed it.

You smiled back, a smile even brighter than the one you entered with. I gave you your hand back and we enjoyed talking over the rest of the breakfast. As we cleared up the table I looked back out the window, the sun was at the top now, smiling down at us. It was like no tragedy had ever entered our lives. I suppressed a sigh and looked back at you. You gave me a small smile and I smiled back.

You pointed towards the window with a beautiful view of a wonderful day, "Beautiful... Just like you." You said a chewed of grin on your lips.

I laughed, "You are cliche obsessed aren't you?" I said laughing.

"Is that a challenge, sweetheart?" You asked an eyebrow raised.

I folded my arms and gave you a grin.

"Anything for you, darling. Greyson Chance's cliche side activated. Only for you, love, only for you." You said sending me a genuine smile that had my heart beating hard against my chest.

You had Pinterest out. You were making it rain cheesy and cliche pick-up lines.

I laughed into the cushion next to me at how bad the last pick up line was.

"Why are you laughing at me?" You asked feigning hurt, though I could clearly see from the twitching at the side of your lips that you we're fighting a laugh or two back too.

"Those are the most cliche and cheesy pick-up lines I have ever heard," I said emphasizing the ever, "You're killing it dude. Killing it." I said a gigantic grin on my face contrary to my words.

"Shouldn't you be blushing from my sweetness and melting inside from my charming personality?" You grumbled.

"Not with those pick up lines I'm
not." I giggled.

"Hmph." You grunted like a toddler, crossing your arms and frowning like so.

I laughed and scooted closer to you. You scooted away. I scooted closer again and seeing that you weren't escaping me you didn't move anymore.

"I find it sweet." I said kissing your cheek.

You grinned from ear to ear and I laughed once again. You put your arm around me and pulled me closer to you.

"I missed your laugh." You say.

I give you a smile. I missed yours too. I missed your jokes, and your sweet gestures. I missed you. All of you.

You look away from me and pull me closer to you again as if we weren't close enough. I place my head on your chest and hear the beautiful sound of your heart beating at a rather fast pace.

"Your hearts beating fast. Like really really fast." I say a smile on my lips.

"Yeah. I think it was from all the waffles, butter, and whip cream we had this morning." You remarked.

I frowned and hit you on your chest, trying to pull away from you. You laughed and your arm was tighter around me.

"I thought you were trying to be cliche?" I grumbled under my breath.

"Well you we're laughing at me all morning!" You laughed.

I blushed not intending for you to hear that.

"But my heart, sweetie, it's only that way when it's with you." You said winking at me.

I grunted, folding my arms.

"C'mon... Don't be like that, my dearest." You said nudging me.

I turned away from you.

"We can watch the notebook," You said in a sing song voice.

I didn't budge.

"Though you've watched it a billion times already." You whispered under your breath.

"I heard that." I said.

You groaned.

"I'll buy you your favorite ice cream." You offered.

"There's some in the ref." I replied, bored.

"I'll order pizza..." You said and I was already up and rushing for the wireless phone.

I smiled, "Okay." I said grinning tossing you the phone.
