I breathed in the fresh morning air. The smell of dew drops and roses filled my lungs with sweet pleasure. Nothing in the world would have been more perfect than this moment right now. Nothing. In the distance I could see him kicking his forelegs in the air. The feathers in his snow white wings were laid out so majestically. Every detail was so amazing. His white main was flowing like a thousand threads of webs in the light wind. He was watching me as if he knew what I was thinking. We were meant for each other. I know it.

I woke with a start. I could hear busy traffic from outside and the sound of sprinklers. I groaned a little too loudly and grabbed my glasses from my short nightstand. My alarm clock hadn't gone off. Again. I looked at the time and yelped. Crap, crap, crap!

"Charlie! Why didn't you wake me up!?!" I yelled from my room as I jumped out of bed, nearly falling on my face. I pulled out a pair of jeans and a grey hoodie from somewhere deep within the unknown. Okay, my closet. "Charlie!" I yelled in anger as I raced down the hall to his room. Booming music could be heard from his closed door. I pushed the door open to see him playing his guitar wildly. I rushed over to him and pulled the plug out of his amps.

"Dude!" he yelled.

"First of all, keep it down in here! Second, why didn't you wake me up!?!" I screamed back at him.

"I forgot, okay!?!" he said as he plugged his amps back in.

"God!" I said as I stormed out of his room, slamming the door behind me. I ran down the stairs and pulled my backpack off the kitchen chair. Mom and dad are probably at work already so I guess I'm taking the bus. I ran out the front door and walked to the nearest bus stop. I pulled out my phone from my back pocket and saw a new message.

Where are you, Alyx? -Kat

"Charlie forgot. I'm on my way." I mumbled as I typed

The bus stopped and let me in. I found my way to the back of the bus and sat down. Note to self. Don't take public buses. Ever. An old lady was staring at me from up front as If she were expecting something from me. I awkwardly waved and she quickly turned around. Well that was strange...

The bus pulled up to my Lincoln High and dropped me off. As I made my way down the long bus aisle, the woman kept an uncomfortable eye contact with me. Weird.
