The civilized world had somehow unraveled itself. The skeletons of building and people alike laid where they had fallen, twisted and grayish black from the dust of the debri. Little remained of what the world had been.

Grasslands and mountains alike were mutilated, leaving scars in the landscape that seemed to go to the very core of the Earth. Animals floundered, most injured and shell shocked, trying to find sustenance and roaming into clearly inhabited areas with little fear and a great rabidity.

It seemed that man had purposefully wiped itself out almost entirely; even the innocent portion of humanity had been exterminated with ruthless ignorance and passion for evil. Few remained to pick up the colossal mess created by the cowards in power.
