Rhett's POV
I looked in the mirror as I straightened my bow-tie. Tonight was he night of Jen's birthday party, and I wanted to look nice. I fixed my hair, put on some good looking shoes, and walked out to my driveway. I glanced at my phone, seeing it said 8:02 p.m. Link should be here to pick me up anytime now...

Link's POV
I pulled up into Rhett's driveway, instantly seeing him standing there. I smirked as I looked him up and down. "Hey, Hottie." I laughed as he got in my car. He showed me his ring finger and pointed to the ring. "Sorry Link, I'm taken." He giggled. I smiled as I shifted my car into reverse, pulling out onto the road. Switching gears back to forward, I heard my cell phone ringing. I had Rhett answer it, considering I was driving. He said it was Jen, reminding me that I was ten minutes late. "Whatever. We'll be there soon, Jen." Rhett said, smiling. "Okay...Mhm...Bye." He said and hung up the phone.

We arrived at Jen's house, hearing blasting music and seeing different colored lights shining out of her glass patio door. I got out of the vehicle, walking over to the other side and opening Rhett's. He hopped out, chuckling a bit. "You know I can open the door by myself, right?" He stated, making me blush. I looked for an excuse, but couldn't think of anything. "Hey, no worries man." He said, lightly punching my shoulder. "It's cool."

Rhett's POV
I walked into Jen's house with Link by my side, the smell of alcohol flowing strongly in the air. Most of our friends were there, including the crew. I waved to Alex, walking to the drink table and getting Link and I some red wine. I turned around, seeing Link swaying his hips slightly to the music. Smiling at that sight, I walked over and handed the drink to him.

"Thanks, Rhett." He said, taking the drink out of my hand. In only two gulps, his drink was gone and he walked back to get some more. "Hey Link, it's pretty crowded in here, you wanna go someplace more private?" I asked him as he came back. He nodded his head up and down, quickly going back to the table and grabbing the whole bottle of red wine so we could fill up our glasses as much as we'd like.

Link's POV
I followed Rhett as he took me to this small spot behind Jen's garage, between the fence and the back of the building. We could still hear the music pretty clearly, just enough to dance to it. The song "Photograph" by Ed Sheeran came on, and before I could say anything, Rhett grabbed my hands, pulling me closer. He put his hands around my waist, and slowly swayed back and forth. I smiled and followed along, putting my hands on his shoulders and resting my head on his chest.

"Loving can hurt...Loving can hurt sometimes." Rhett sang, resting his head on my shoulder and burying his face in my neck. "But it's the only thing that I know..." I whispered back, moving my head away from his chest, causing him to stand straight up and look me in the eyes. "And when it gets hard...You know it can get hard sometimes." Rhett said, moving closer to me. "It is the only thing that makes us feel alive." I responded, kissing his lips softly. He kissed back, pulling my hips closer to his.

Rhett's POV
I pulled away and rested my forehead against Link's. "We keep this love in a photograph." I smiled as I picked him up and twirled him around. "We make these memories for ourselves." He giggled. "Where our eyes are never closed and hearts are never broken." I sang. "And time's forever frozen still." He said softly as I sat him back on the ground. "So you can keep me inside the pocket of your ripped jeans. Holding me closer 'til our eyes meet. You wont ever feel alone." I grinned as I pulled him even closer. "Wait for me to come home." He said, connecting our lips once again.
