Nothing Special (Stereo Kicks/Reece Bibby/New Hope Club)

More than nothing special.

Hi guys. This is the last chapter of this story. I hope you enjoy :)

It's been a few weeks since the boys did their love me so signings, and a few weeks since love me so entered the UK top 40!! The bloody UK top 40!

The boys did it! They made it!! They obviously had meetings to see what would happen but they would get record deal right? And what's the worst that could happen?

Today, the boys were having meetings about Love Me So, record deals and all things Stereo Kicks. The boys had already had meetings before hand, and I was on my way to where the boys were as they apparently had something to tell me.

Reece told me not to get my hopes up, he didn't specify if it was exciting news or not. He just simply said 'Don't get your hopes up Millie'.

I tried to be positive nonetheless but I couldn't help feel slightly nervous about today. What if I walked in and it was a joke and the boys had got a record deal and they were going on tour again. I would be over the moon for them all. But despite having these exciting things cloud my mind, there were other things that came over like rain on a sunny day.

What if it was something bad, something I wasn't expecting. I shook the thoughts away before I let them get the better of me as I entered the building.

I walked in through the class doors and walked up to the reception desk.

"Hi, can it help you?" The receptionist said. "Hi, erm I'm here to see Stereo Kicks." I replied. "Oh, you must be Millie. I'm sorry about the news, it's the third floor and the door on the first right." She smiled sympathetically. "Thanks." I simply said.

What was she sorry about, why did she look so sympathetic towards me. I instantly felt worried. All these thoughts gathered in my mind as I made my way to the room the boys were in, knocking twice and breathing in and out in an attempt to brace myself. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst.

A few moments later and a middle aged woman opened the door, letting me in and I swiftly walked through the room to see the boys on sofas. Most of them with their heads in their hands.

"Millie." Reece said but it came out of more than a question. Without giving me time to speak Reece rushed over to me and embraced me in a hug as he sobbed onto my shoulder. I opened my arms and wrapped them around him, one hand placed on the back of his head as I stroked him hair in an attempt to comfort him.

"Reece, what's going on?" I asked, worried. Reece moved his head from my neck and stood in front of me. His eyes looked tired and blotchy from where he had been crying. He wiped his tears away before taking my hand in his and pulling me towards the rest of the boys on the sofas.

"Can someone please explain what's going on?" I questioned, looking at all of them.

"We didn't make it." Charlie said, letting tears slip down his cheeks.
"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"What do you mean you didn't make it? Didn't make what? I don't get it." I said, thinking of endless amounts of things it could be.

"We are no longer Stereo Kicks." Tom said with no expression or emotion. He just looked numb.

"This is a joke right? This has to be a joke." I said trying to convince myself. No one said a word, all that was there was silence. Jake simply looked up at me and shook his head from side to side and that was all I needed.

It almost felt like the world stopped. That's why the woman said sorry and why everything this morning felt so weird. Because this had happened.

"Oh god. I'm so sorry boys." I said, quietly. "Sony don't want to sign us because we didn't get in the top 10, it would have been fine if we could afford to keep the band together but because there's 8 of us and we have no label or promotion we simply can't go on as Stereo Kicks. It was out of our hands and the fans hands. They did everything they could and so did we but we can't go on." Tom explained.

A few tears slipped down my cheeks as I stood up. All the boys looked up at me. "Come on then, it's group hugging time." I smiled. The boys all smiled too and we all hugged each other.

"This is not the end you know. It's just a block in your careers, Stereo Kicks could come back or you will be amazing soloists. This is just the beginning remember?" I said.

"We love you Millie." James said. "Thank you for everything." James added. All the boys agreed and hugged each other even tighter. "Thank you for making these last few months the best of my life. I'm so proud of you all and can't wait to see what happens in the future. Love you all too." I smiled. "And remember you'll always be known for the band with the best banter." I laughed as all the boys laughed too before letting go and going back to the sofas apart from Reece.

"Thank you for everything Millie. I can't wait to see what the future holds and hopefully you'll be right by my side and I'll be by yours too." Reece said, holding both of my hands as he stood in front of me. "Thank you for everything Reece, and I'll be by your side for as long as you need me." I smiled looking into his big blue eyes. "I love you Reece." I smiled. Reece smiled as we shared a quick kiss before he replied. "I love you too little one and remember you'll always be more than nothing special to me."
