Life With A Murderer (Book 3)

Prologue

(Vincent's POV)

It was the night after the funeral of my dear wife, Marissa. Oh how I missed her so much. She was taken too early and now she left our young daughter in my hands. I had no idea if I could handle a child on my own. I had to be strong. For (Y/N)'s sake. I was sitting on the edge of my bed, my face buried in my hands. Was I prepared? Of course not. Who ever is?

"Daddy?" a small child said. I looked up and saw my 3 year old daughter standing in the doorway, holding one of her teddy bears. She looked at me sadly. "Where is Mommy?"

"(Y/N), come here," I said. The small (H/C) haired girl walked over and I picked her up, placing her on the bed next to me. "I want you to be a strong little girl, okay?"

"Okay Daddy."

"Mommy left and she won't be coming back for a while."

My heart broke when my daughter's eyes began watering. She hugged her teddy bear tightly and closed her eyes. I hugged her, trying to calm her down.

"Wh-when will Mommy be back?" she asked.

"Not for a while. I want you to be brave. We'll see her one day and we'll be a happy family once more. For now, we're here together. We'll be fine, (Y/N). No more crying," I said. She nodded, and wiped her tears. She was a strong child. It might not be as bad as I thought. I picked her up and carried her back to her room. I tucked her into bed since it was 2 in the morning. She snuggled with her teddy bear and closed her eyes. I kissed her forehead and told her good night and left the room. I went into my room and smiled a little. Maybe I will be able to take care of the young child on my own. I looked out the window and saw a star shining brightly. I imagined it was Marissa smiling and telling me I would be fine. Maybe it won't be so bad.

(A/N) Heyo Balloons! Welcome to the prequel! The story will mostly be in Vincent's POV and it will be just life before he murdered those children and was arrested. 

So, I have an idea for this story and I need a character. I would use one of my own, but I think I want to include one of you, my readers. So, I won't say what your character's relation is to Reader-Chan, however if you would like to see your character in this book, try this out. I will only choose one character unfortunately however I'm looking for a detailed character who is a normal human being. No super powers. No different species. Just human since this book is in the human world and you don't see super humans walking around. Those are basically the only rules I have for this 'contest' if you want to call it that. The more detailed your character is, the better chance you have of getting your character chosen. (This has ended and no other entries will be accepted. My apologies and thank you for sending in characters if you did.)
