The second day of camp started good with fun classes, canoeing and more! That night, there was a night hike and Zack and Caroline were walking together and Nikki, of course was following behind. Spencer was behind her and walked slowly. Nikki wasn't paying close attention to the rest of the camp. She was looking down at her feet and did'nt realize where she was going. Spencer who was just following Nikki's feet took that path too.
When the whole camp reached the mountain, Caroline went and joined her cabin, but Nikki was not there. "Um, Talia," Caroline tapped her counselor. "Yeah?"
"I can't find Nikki," she said worriedly.Meanwhile, Nikki panicked and alarmed Spencer. "Spencer we're lost!" Spencer's eyes went wide. "Oh crap! It's ok Nikki, we'll find our way back," Spencer said. He went and put his hand on Nikki's cheek. Tears were streaming from her face. "We'll be alright, ok Nikki?" Spencer said. Nikki nodded.
"We're gonna find the camp, don't worry we'll make it back," Spencer said reassuringly.
When Nikki finally got it together she said,
"Ok Spencer. Thanks for helping me calm down. The camp will come back down from the mountain soon and will pass by us. We can listen and try to hear where the noise is coming from."Spencer was in awe. "Good plan, Nikki! Maybe we should walk back where we came from and see if we can find the trail." Nikki hugged him. "That's a good plan," Nikki said while they were walking back. "I thought you were still mad at me?" Spencer said with a smirk. Nikki wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. "I love you, Nikki and I'm so sorr-"
Nikki kissed him again. "That's a nice way of getting me to shut up," Spencer said smiling. Nikki blushed, "You should really keep talking," she said.Later on at night time, Zack ran to Caroline's cabin and texted her to come outside. "Yeah Zack?" She looked tired, but Zack would change that. "Come on we're going canoeing!" He said excitedly. "But we're not allowed to at night," Caroline said. "Come on, babe! Just come," Zack pleaded. Caroline nodded and the two teenagers walked to the lake.
Zack took her hand and helped her into the canoe and he hopped in too. "So..." Caroline started, but Zack out a finger to her lip. "Don't talk it's supposed to be romantic." Caroline giggled and kept quiet. They stared in each other's eyes both blushing and Zack leaned in and Caroline leaned in and the canoe flipped over.
It was really cold at night and swimming wasn't the best thing to do. Caroline was panicking, even though she knew how to swim. Zack carried Caroline through the water, to the lakeshore. Caroline was soaking wet.
"I'm so sorry, Caroline," Zack said sadly. Caroline laughed. Zack was confused. "Sorry? That was so fun!" She said. Zack smiled as he took off his shirt. Caroline untied her hair so it would dry faster. Caroline sat there with Zack's wet arm around her.
Zack stood up and got his phone. He put on a romantic song. "May I have this dance?" He asked Caroline sweetly. Caroline stood up and took his hand. "I thought this would make up for that canoe mishap," he said smiling. Zack put his hands around Caroline's waist and Caroline hugged his wet, bare skin. They stood there, hugging each other and listening to the romantic lyrics of the song.
Zack slowly leaned in and kissed Caroline. The feeling of his warm lips were once again on hers. After kissing for what seemed like hours, they sat down on the ground, against a tree. Zack noticed Caroline shivering, so he gave her his hoodie. Caroline smiled. "Aren't you cold, too?" She asked. "Yeah, but that's not important now," he replied. "I know one way we can both be warm," Caroline said. Zack looked confused. "How?"
Caroline grabbed him and pulled him into a hug. Zack hugged her back tighter than ever before. "I love you," Zack whispered. "I know," Caroline said smiling. Zack caressed her damp hair, as she drifted off to sleep in his arms. That night, Zack carried Caroline, who was still sleeping back to her cabin. He put her on her bed and kissed her forehead.
Nikki watched Zack set Caroline on her bed. She narrowed her eyes "Your 2 hours passed curfew," she said sarcastically. He chuckled and sat on Nikki's bed. "How's Spencer?" He smirked. "Ask him! Your not supposed to be in a girls cabin. Get the hell outta here!" He chuckled again and walked outside.
Spencer, who was shirtless and wearing sweatpants sat on his bunk texting Nikki. Zack walked in. "Where the hell have you been?" Zack smirked. "With Caroline. I heard you got lost on the hike?" Spencer smiled "Yup with Nikki." Zack sat on his bunk next to Spencer's. "Did she forgive you?" He nodded and kept his eyes on his phone. "Who are you texting?" he smirked. "Nikki."
"Dude ask her out to the dance, Zack said. Spencer's eyes lightened up. "There's a dance?" Zack nodded "Yup."
"Zack..." Spencer mumbled. "Yeah?"
"I don't know how to slow dance." Zack chuckled. "It's ok. Girls think that's cute," Zack said laughing.
