When I woke up I was still snuggled into Kurloz's side. I stretched and smacked him in the face a bit. I got up to take a shower and brush my teeth; when I was done I decided to make breakfast. Today was Monday which meant tomorrow school started back. I unfortunately couldn't go because I was still recovering from my appendectomy which meant I'd be bored until everyone was done for the day. I was about to start on making some eggs when I felt kinda light headed. I sat down at the table and lay my head down. I heard Loz thumping around upstairs before making his way down. "Good- you okay? " he asked. I sat up slowly. I shook my head a little. "Come 'ere." He spoke softly. He put a hand to my face. "Only a little warm." He mumbled. He lifted my shirt a bit and looked at my stitches. I couldn't read his expression. He sat me on the counter and went to get the first aid kit. When he came came back he handed me a rag. I looked at him questioningly. "To bite on." He mumbled. He started cleaning off my stitches; when he was done he made a face. He pulled his phone out of his hoodie pocket. He looked at the release note from the doctor that removed my appendix. "You fucked up her stitches." He whispered into the phone. I was so beyond confused. "Come on, A." He spoke slowly trying to keep his cool. He grabbed a towel and pressed it against my stomach carrying me to his car. I sat in his lap and he adjusted the seat so we'd both have leg room. He kept one hand firmly pressed against my stomach while the other gripped the steering wheel. I started to feel woozy again. "A, focus, don't close your eyes." He stated firmly. I gripped his arm and focused on staying awake. I drifted a bit and Kuloz bit down on my shoulder. I flinched and opened my eyes. How have we not been pulled over by the police? We pulled up to the hospital and were immediately greeted by a group of nurses. Kurloz got out of the car and placed me in the wheelchair up front. One of the nurses looked at my stomach. "She gonna need stitches and a blood transfusion." She whispered to Kurloz. The other nurses rushed me back to an operation room while Kurloz waited outside.

It had been an hour, at least it felt like an hour. Maybe it had been longer. I looked over to see an IV in my arm. Is that blood in the bag? I tried to sit up but a hand held me down. I looked up to see Kurloz. "Don't sit up. You'll tear your stitches." He spoke slowly. He looked emotionally exhausted. I pat the spot next to me and he sat down. I wrapped an arm around his torso and looked up at him. "Sorry I worry you so much." I whispered. He leaned his head against mine. "It's no biggie." He spoke softly. I shifted to the side a bit so there'd be enough room for both of us. He leaned against my shoulder and before I knew it he had dosed off. "I'll pay you back someday, bud." I whispered moving his bang from his face.
