While I was driving home I received a text from Maddie asking how the audition went. I told her I thought it went pretty well and that I was hoping to get the job. She didn't seem excited. She kind of joked around and said that I would be leaving her.

"We're home," mom told me.

I didn't even notice I was too busy looking down at my phone. I grabbed my stuff and ran inside.

"How about we order pizza," she said.

"Sounds great," I replied.

I dialed 919-986-1126.

"Hello this is Pizza Hut," a man answered.

"Hey I would like one large pepperoni pizza," I told him.

"Ok that will be ten dollars will you be picking up," he asked.

"Yes," I replied.

"Ok bye," He responded.

"Bye," I said.

"I'm going to go pick it up soon," my mom told me.

"Mom when do you think we will find out if I got the part?" I asked.

"A couple days probably I'm not really sure," she responded.

"I'm just so excited," I confessed.

"I know honey I'm going to go pick up the pizza now," she announced.

"Ok bye" I said.

"Bye," she responded.

I grabbed my phone and clicked on the FaceTime app. I scrolled down until I found Maddie's name. I clicked on it and it started calling.

"Hey," she answered.

"Hey Maddie," I replied while smiling.

"Are you going to dance tomorrow?" she asked me.

"Yes," I told her.

"Same," she said.

"So what's up," I questioned her.

"I have to go bye," she whispered.

Before I could say bye back she had already hung up. She seemed weird. It seemed like she didn't really want to talk to me. Did I do something wrong? I couldn't get it off my mind. I tried thinking of everything that recently happened. Nothing came to mind why she would be upset.

"I'm home," mom yelled from outside.

I ran outside and grabbed the pizza and brought it inside. I stood on my tippy toes to grab two plates. I opened the box and pulled a piece.

"I just facetimed Maddie," I informed my mom.

"How was it?" She asked.

"She was acting really weird," I mumbled.

"How so?" She asked.

"She just seemed upset with me," I responded.

"Did you say something wrong," she questioned.

"Not that I know if," I told her.

"Well maybe she's worried about you getting the job and leaving her," she suggested.

"Maddie would be happy for me," I snapped at her.

"You don't need to yell at me," my mom lectured.

"I'm going to bed," I said.

"Good night," she said.

I walked up stairs and changed into my pajamas. I walked into my bathroom and placed some tooth paste on to my tooth brush. I started to do a tilt while brushing my teeth. After I finished I rinsed my tooth brush under some running water. I walked back into my room turned off my lights and jumped into bed.
