Light seeps through the small cracks on the wooden walls of the attic and a gentle breeze blows through a single window. I was surrounded by dust that accumulated through the week. Staring at the scenery outside, I hear the door knob turn follow by creaking. "Hey sempai" I lean my head on my shoulder and wave at the familiar face. "Hi" he says as he closes the door. His long hair has the colour of blood which covers half of his face. He places a brown basket besides the door. His grey eyes wander around the room before looking towards me. "So.... what are you doing?" he asks, approaching me. "I'm just practicing some magic. Do you want to see?" I suggest. He stops and scoots backwards, keeping some distance between us. "Sure" he replies. I take a deep breath and move my hands in a circle, moving them at opposite direction. "Turn mo itong tubig sa yelow!" I chant. Little blue sparks begins to form inside the circle. As different shades of blue swirl around me, it moves up to the ceiling then disappears. The sudden fall of snow crushes us both towards the ground. Standing up, I wipe the snow off my dress. I stare at the snowy white snow that replaced the wooden floor.
Seeing sempai stand up, I gather a tiny portion of snow into a ball before throwing it towards sempai. "Ow! Why did you do that!?" he wipes the snow off his face. I giggle and repeat what I did, aiming at sempai's feet. This cause him to lose his balance and fall. I did a victory pose and laugh as sempai hops back to feet, with a grin on his face. "Why...." he gathers up a bigger snowball. I stop laughing and prepare myself. "Take this!" he throws it straight to my face. The cold seeps through my face. "Kyaaa! That's cold!" I wipe the snow off my face as I laugh. It turns into a snowball fight. Sempai tries to dodge but I always got between his eyes. I use my magic and gather all the snow above me. Sempai looks at me with pleading eyes. "No please" he begs, slowly backing away from me. "Don't throw it" he was closer to the door now. As his hand reach for the door, I drop the snow above him which covers his surrounding with a mist of snow. When the mist slowly disappears, I see sempai's head on something white and round. I hold my stomach and laugh. "Se-sempai... looks like a snowman" I kept laughing and place two sticks on each side. "What have I become? Has science gone too far?" he questions himself in a disappointing voice. "Nope. Its magic" I made a thumb's up and stuck my tongue out.
"Wala ng yelow!" I chant and the snow slowly disappears, showing the rest of sempai's body. Sempai looks down and sighs in relief. "Well I'm back to normal I guess" he mumbles as he inspects his body. "Anyways sempai" I lean towards his face "why have you come up here?" I asked. "I wanted to see what you're up to Anna" he said after inspecting. "Oh... oK" I took a step back "but then I got caught up in all this" he chuckles then sighs.
"Did your mom cook some lunch? I'm hungry" I point at the untouched basket besides the door. "Huh? Oh" he turns around and looks. "Oh yeah" he walks towards the basket and picks it up, trying to balance the food inside. He walks back to me. "Cool! I haven't eaten anything since last night" I hear my stomach as I stare at the goodies in front of me. "I brought something for us to eat so.... do you want to eat together?" he offers. I immediately nod my head multiple times, implying a yes. "Ok ok" he smiles. He looks around the attic then back at me. "Where do you want to eat?" he asks. I cross my arms to think. "Hmm....outside!" I shout, looking at the sunshine grow brighter beneath my feet. "Ok" he was ready to leave but I snap my finger and we instantly teleport under a big tree outside my house. Sempai was about to say something but then shrugs it off.
