------------------------Day #1------------------------
We heard a knock come from the classroom door. It wasn't one of the ordinary "may I come in knocks", it was more like one of those "LET ME IN!!!!!" Knocks. Mrs. Shatter unlocked the door in a panic. Each student exchanges puzzled looks.
A tall man wearing a blue suit and hat rushed in once Mrs. Shatter opened the door. Behind him, two men marched in with a tool box and plywood. They bordered up the windows in the classroom along with the back door. When I tried asking why they did that Mrs. Shatter told us to head down to the school gym.
I was glad we were going to the gym because everyone can sit and talk. I felt comfortable with sound of chatter filling up the air so I was eager to go into the gym. Once we got into the hall where the gym was, there were cops guarding every door. We had to stop before going into the gym because they had to check us for any weapons. Like c'mon we are just 7th graders, what weapons could we carry. A sharpened pencil?
It took a while Because they found a cell phone on one kid and it took a long time for him to give it up. They said they didn't want any electronics around or it will mess up their radio connection.
They finally let us go in the gym. All the bleachers were out and it was dark in there. All the windows and doors were bordered up with plywood. The kids in the bleachers sat and whispered quietly, which made me feel uncomfortable.
All the other kids were wondering about where their parents are,but I know exactly where my parents are. My mom is a 6th grade teacher for and my dad is a 8th grade teacher for Camden Middle School. My mom teaches literature and my dad teaches Social Studies. So, if I needed them I can just go down the halls and find their rooms. I decided to get up and ask a police officer if I could go to my mom and dad. He said "Sure sweetie, where are they?" I replied happily "in this school, they are teachers for this school. Can you let me go see them?"The officer took my hand and went to another officer and said to the other officer "hello officer Hecox, this young lady was misbehaving and not following orders. I might have to take her to the principles office." Officer Hecox opened the doors and let us out.
I asked the officer what his name was. He said "oh, I'm officer Vic. And your name ma'am ?"
"Oh, my name is Victoria."
" okay Victoria, why do you need to see your parents and where are they?"
" well officer, answer this first. Why did you say I misbehaved? "
" Thats the only way I could take you out of the gym because only kids who are needed in the office can leave. So they will let you go. So be grateful. "
"Yes sir, and thank you."
We heard a scream coming from down the hall. I recognized it, MOM! I said loudly and urgently to the officer " Officer Vic that was my mother! We need to go!!!"
We rushed down the hall, officer Vic pulled out a 9mm pistol. We saw blood on the floor on the floor as we ran down the halls. He nudged me to go into the janitors closet and he handed me a radio. When I went in, he closed the door. CLICK! He locked me in the closet. I was mad because what if my mother is hurt or my father! He buzzed in the radio saying "Victoria, I'll be right back. You can not go to this scene okay?"
I replied sadly "okay. Make sure my mother is safe."
"I promise."
I heard a powerful sound. It was the sound of a door busting open. Then I heard gun fire and my mom scream. I slid down on the wall of the closet. Then once I slid down there was someone behind me. The person put their hand on my waist and mouth. I screamed loudly for freedom and struggled. The person said "Chill, I'm just trying to help you."
