[Chapter 9: Detention? Really?]

"So, class. Today, we are gonna talk about the history of bla bla bla.."

I'm sure that I'm never paying attentiom to my history teacher every damn lesson. I'm doodling on a piece of paper that was on my table. Some students were sleeping, some are playing with their phones secretly. Some actually listens, or maybe they're daydreaming. Probably.

I was sitting at the back with Eric, the bad boy. He was playing with his pencil, spinning it round and round. Looking at the teacher, bored. He's Audrey's ex, also the playboy.

"So, you're a good girl huh?" he asked, suddenly.

"Umm..not really. Why?"

He turn his gaze onto me, head still facing the front, smirking. "You look like a bad girl though. Have you ever tried illegal stuff?"

This is getting weirder. "Once,"

"Wanna do it again?" he smirks wider.

"No thanks, I'm good,"

"Why? Scared you're gonna get caught?"

"Technically, yes. I was almost caught the other time,"

"What did you do the other time?"

"Well, I use to love doing illegal things. For example, I use to steal about $7000 when I'm in..somewhere,"

"Ooo, fierce," he smirks wider. "Come on, baby. Let's get into trouble,"

I froze in my seat. I understand why he call me baby since he's a bad boy. "I'm not getting myself into jail,"

"Have you?" he asks, facing me.

"Almost. Look, if I do these bad things, my brother's gonna kill me,"

"Your brother? You, mean Drew?" he give out a fake laugh, as if he didn't believe me.

"Yeah, him. Why?"

"Oh, Kaylee. You are so innocent, aren't you?," he stopped and look back at the teacher, continuously playing with his pencil. "Drew himself has gotten himself into trouble a lot of times, for example, he has gone into detention for about 20 times last year,"

My eyes widened. I couldn't believe what he just said. I mean, he never told me he went to detention last year, or ever. "You're lying. He never told me anything about him going into detention,"

"Of course not, Kayl. Of course not. Why not you ask him yourself?"

"Fine, I will. But I still won't do illegal stuff again,"

"Of course you won't, but you soon will," he smirks leaning back on his chair, putting his hands behind his hair, legs on top of one another on top of his desk. "And I don't doubt it, Kayl. No, I don't,"

---

"Why didn't you ever tell me that you've been in detention last year?!" I shouted softly at him.

It was break time. I force him to tell me the truth about last year. It's true. He had gotten himself into detention for about 25 times. Guess Eric didn't count properly.

"Because if I told you that I got detention, you'll tell mom and I will get myself grounded. Plus, if I'm grounded, I can't drive nor use my phone,"

"True but you could just tell me to keep it a secret,"

"You can't really keep secrets,"

"Fine, you win,"

"Why and how did you know?"
