Rachel
I covered Julia's eyes as we walked into her new room. Christmas was in a month, and a princess room is one of her smaller gifts from me. I removed my hands from her eyes and stared at my diy skills in proudness. She looked around before jumping up to my height and hugging me."Oh, mommy, this is amazing! I love it!" she screamed in my ear. I smiled and laughed while putting her down on the ground.
"Well I'm glad you like it. Wanna see my room?" I asked her. She nodded her head vigorously before skipping down the hall to my room. I decided I needed to move into the house right after I finished our bedrooms, and then to go buy a car. Julia is still sick, so I'm waiting and waiting for her to get better so that we can get a car. If she isn't better in the next few days, I have to take her to her new doctor. She looked around my room and then proceeded to jump on my bed.
"You're a really good handy woman, mom." Julia said to me. I couldn't help but laugh at her cuteness.
"Well, I'm going to go downstairs and paint the living room. Do you want to hang out in your room or hang downstairs and help me?" I asked her, flopping onto my bed.
"Hang out in my room." she said getting up.
"Okie dokie. If you need me, yell." I told her walking down the stairs. I already had my painting clothes on, so I got straight to work. Of course, I'm a totally messy person, and had paint all over me within five minutes. I was painting one really high spot on the wall when Julia screamed.
"Mommy, I think I'm going to get sick." she yelled.
"Go to the bathroom, hurry! I'll be up soon!" I yelled while dropping the paint roller and running up the steps. I got to the bathroom just in time, and she started vomiting. I held her hair and rubbed her back while she cried.
"Mommy, I don't like this." she proceeded to tell me as I laid her down on the couch and put a wet rag on her head.
"Me neither, baby. You take a nap, okay?" I said tucking her in.
"Okay." she smiled and fell asleep. I put my hand on my head and started to cry. Being a single parent is so hard, I wish Finn was around to help with her. But even Julia knows, her father doesn't want to be a father. I was snapped out of my thoughts by the doorbell ringing. I didn't bother to wipe my tears because I figured it would just be Santana. I opened the door and speak of the devil.
"Finn." I said, forgetting about the remaining tears on my face, and the lovely outfit I had on, (a oversized shirt with tan paint and vomit all over it).
"Woah, woah, what happened?" he asked inviting himself in.
"Please whisper, she's sleeping." I looked over to the couch and so did he. "She got sick, and I've been painting. As for the tears, I don't really know." I said laughing quietly.
"Rachel, you can tell me, it's okay." he said hugging me. I let go and looked at my shirt, it still had vomit on it.
"That probably wasn't the cleanest thing to do." I said laughing. He laughed along until our eyes met, and for a minute, everything else disappeared. I shut my eyes and felt his soft lips that I've missed so much connecting with mine. This one kiss turned to a make out session, and one thing led to another. Let's just say, I ended up in bed naked with Finn, who I hadn't seen in years.
