'My child...My lovely child...I needyou to listen...hear me and obey...'
"This world is dying..."
"What did you say?" Leonard askedlooking up from the maps on her table, everyone was staring at herintently but she was pale as a sheet. Taking a step backwards shestumbled suddenly feeling dizzy, Apollo caught her before she fell.
"...Z-Zamir...get everyone out ofhere...Now!" Zamir nodded quickly pushing the prince and Jinx outbefore returning for Apollo.
"There's no way I can leave her inthis condition! She's obviously ill!"
"Ugh...Zamir get out!" It burned, like the fires of hell all the noises she was hearing amplified. Ashort whine escaped her throat, what was this? She'd neverexperienced something like this before, it was a deep pain thatburned throughout her whole body mercilessly.
"Lark...Let's get you to your bed.I need to examine you properly..." Gently he lifted her up bridalstyle and carried her to the large mattress on the far end of theroom, she groaned out in pain. "I—I'm going to undress you, soI can see what's wrong okay?"
".....ngh." He spent the next hourtrying to find whatever it was that ailed her body but found nothing, when he went to leave she grabbed the edge of his tunic. "...D-don'tgo...I don't want to be alone..." Apollo turned back and put hishand on her forehead stroking it softly, he ignored the burning thathe was feeling from the intense heat that came from her fevered body."...A—Apollo...I'm scared..." She murmured in a pained voice.
"Shh...it's okay. I won't letanything happen to you...I'll be right here. Just...sleep."He pushed his magic into her own body forcing her body to sleepand take away some of her pain; as much as he wanted to stay heneeded to inform the others about the situation. He would come backas soon as he told them what was going on.
"Po! What's going on?! Is sheokay?!"
"I—I don't know...she's in alot of pain though. I put her to sleep for the time being but that'sonly a temporary fix...I've never seen an illness like thisbefore."
"Of course you wouldn't Fae.It's is a Dark elf sickness, and only a healer who knows of it canhelp her." The group turned on the deep voice that was behind them, the cloaked man from before stood in front of them smirking. "Ifyou let me bring her back, I can help her."
"Why should we trust you? You triedto kill her!" Zamir hissed stepping between him and Jinx.
"If I wanted to kill her I would havea long time ago, I was only sent to warn her. She will die if youleave her be, what will you do?"
"This." A blazing ball of fireslammed into his chest sending him flying into one of the manypillars that lined the halls; Lark stood behind them looking ready todrop.
"Ah...The Daughter fights well evenwhen ill. The Mother would be pleased."
""
""Lark paled quiet all of sudden, she stared at the man before themlike he was a strange creature from another world.
"....B--"The man laughed.
"If you can survive this illness...comefind me at the temple of resurrection of our people. I shall bewaiting..."As he disappeared her legs gave out and she fell forward, Apolloquickly caught her and carried her back to the bed.
