Keaton's P.O.V

I furrowed my eyebrows; stuck deep in thought.

"I know you hate people arguing, but it's normal. My parents fight, as does everyone's parents." Parker placed a hand on my shoulder "It's not a healthy relationship if the couple don't fight."

I almost chuckled. Parker sounded so normal. It was weird to hear him speak as if he definitely knew something. Parker turned, raising an eyebrow at me. I shook my head and motioned for him to continue.

"Whatever Ophelia and Shawn are going through, it is normal." Parker said, finishing his speech.

A small smile graced my face. Even though, Parker generally was a class clown, he was still a good friend and cheered me up.

Parker clapped at his efforts, with a grin plastered over his face. I rolled my eyes. What was I expecting? Parker couldn't be serious too long!

"Back to your normal self then Parker," I chided jokingly. "I guess you don't know what the word serious means." I continued.

Meanwhile, Parker's bottom lip jutted out and started to tremble. I knew he was playing around, but it actually looked real. If he didn't succeed in the animal career, he could definitely be an actor.

I couldn't stop the eye roll, which made its self-present.

"Oh hush." Parker said, nudging my shoulder.

I raised an eyebrow, "I didn't say anything." I stated.

"I've known you long enough to know what your eye roll means."

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his statement. Parker pointed at me with his mouth in a 'O' shape. "See!" He screeched.

I chuckled at Parker. I knew I was pushing his buttons, but it was change to the normal routine. Normally it was him pushing mine. Parker was bouncing up and down in seat in frustration, but it just made me laugh harder.

Parker's eyes narrowed. "You're doing this purposely aren't you!"

I clapped slowly and sarcastically "Have you just worked that out Parker?"

He nodded with a grin plastered on his face. "I'm just that smart Keats." He gushed.

"Of course Parker."

I aimlessly trundled along the promenade. I had tried to call Reuben to see if I could see him, but received no answer. I was giving him awhile longer to call back before I would knock his house. I hadn't seen him since our date.

I hadn't even seen him at the bus stop in the mornings either. It was weird because his college bus came fifteen minutes later than, so I should see him still. Unless the bus times changed, but I' m sure he would have told me that.

I kicked pebble and watched it skid across the ground, until it came to a halt by crashing into a bench leg. I lifted my head at the sound of metal grinding against the concrete. A small figure walked out the cast metal door, peering around the other side again.

I blinked several times at the figure. I recognised that figure.

"Hayden!" I shouted, waving my arms to and fro.

His head snapped towards me, with a nervous small plastered on his face. I made my way over to him. "You look like you just burgled this house." I mocked, pointing at the house behind him.
