Chapter 5
*Juliet’s POV*
I woke up to Niall rubbing circles on my cheek and my throat dry.
“What time is it?” I said, my voice cracking from my sandpaper throat. “It’s 7a.m. which means we have 2 hours until we have to leave to be at the airport in time for the 10 o’clock flight.” He said. His voice cracked, but when I looked at his eyes, I knew it wasn’t from a dry throat.
“Where is everyone else at?” I asked, suddenly noticing an empty living room. “They are upstairs using the showers and getting ready. You wanna help me surprise them with breakfast?” he asked with a grin on his face. I nodded and we headed to the kitchen.
We decided on making a big breakfast that included: chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, and toast. We cleaned out my mother’s fully-stocked pantry.
I was mixing the pancake batter when Niall came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. It sent chills up my spine. He pecked me on the cheek. “Get back to work,” I said with a cheeky grin on my face. “Fine!” he groaned and went back to frying bacon.
At 8a.m. the food was ready and we called everyone down to eat. And with all of us there, we finished every last thing, and Niall licked up all the crumbs! (A/N Luv u Niall!) Next thing we knew it was time to go.
I had thrown on a pair of jeans, a purple Hollister top, and moccasins. I didn’t dress in anything to fancy because the last thing I wanted was more attention drawn to myself.
We got in the van and as we drove off it started pouring down rain. Just like it did exactly one week ago when he asked me to be his girlfriend. Which reminds me, I got a present for him to celebrate one week.
“Niall, I have something for you,” I whispered, again, not wanting to draw attention. “Close your eyes and hold out your hand.” I said. I slipped the leather bracelet that was green and had the Irish flag and his initials on it over his open hand and onto his wrist.
“Open.” I said. He opened his eyes and looked at the bracelet. Then he embraced me in a warm hug. “What was this for?” he asked. “One week ago today, you asked me to be your girlfriend.” I said simply. “Well I got something for you too. I didn’t quite know when I was gonna give it to you but now seems like the right time.” He said. Next thing I knew, a cold chain was around my neck as he hooked the clasp in the back. It was a silver locket. I opened it and there was a picture of Niall and a picture of me. “Niall, I love it, and I love you.” I said, kissing him on the cheek.
The ride seemed to go by quickly. But Niall didn’t seem to notice as we sat there, fingers intertwined the whole time. He kept looking at me and smiling and occasionally he would catch me staring at him and I would blush and look away.
I was devastated when we got to the airport. We carried the bags in and we started saying our goodbyes.
*Delilah’s POV*
Louis was about to leave for 5 months. I really liked him and I felt like I needed to tell him before he left for all that time. But how?
I was about to say something when Louis grabbed my hand.
“Delilah,” Louis started, “I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately. I mean, you’ve been stuck in my head. And the time we spent at the amusement park and last night has been replaying in my head. I know that I’m about to leave and there is a 3-year age difference, but Delilah, will you be my girlfriend?” he asked, then flinched. “YES!!!!!!!!” I screamed and jumped into his arms and he started spinning me around. Nothing else mattered anymore. I was now the girlfriend of Louis Tomlinson. And I was the happiest girl alive.
*Juliet’s POV*
Louis and Delilah finished saying their goodbyes. The only people left to finish were Niall and me. I looked him straight in the eyes. “Niall, promise me that while you’re on tour you won’t find a girl you like better than me because I really honestly truly love you and I don’t want to lose you.” I choked on the word lose.
“I couldn’t and wouldn’t.” he said before kissing me long and passionately then putting me in a bone-crushing hug.
“I love you.” I said, tears streaming down my face and landing on his shirt. I was about to apologize when he said, “Don’t apologize. I love you too. Goodbye Juliet.” He said, choking and crying.
“Flight 304 to London now boarding.” The voice on the P.A. said. “Goodbye.” I said, and with that, he was gone.
I cried into Maci’s shoulder all the way home while she cried into my hair. She had strong feelings for Liam but never managed to tell him so she was upset at herself for not saying anything and at him because she knew he liked her too.
That evening all the girls stayed over again, we pigged out on snacks, and helped each other on homework. We couldn’t stay up late because we had school the next day. I wouldn’t get to eat lunch with Niall for the first time since he came back 2 weeks ago. Just that thought ruined my brain and made me anxious for the 5 months to be up. I was already counting the hours.
