Bella's POV
I hadn't seen Chris since last night, so I decided to take a trip down to the hospital from work.
I approached his room and slowly opened the door, not wanting to make any noise.
Lisa was at a hospital up in Connecticut, so I hadn't heard any news from the Evans family regarding Lisa or Chris.
When I walked in the room, I found it completely empty. All that was in there was a sheetless hospital bed and the fresh smell of cleaner.
My heart suddenly began to beat fast.
What happened to him?
The only reason I could think of for them moving him was that he woke up or he died...
Stop, don't think of that. Think positively. I told myself.
I turned around to a nurse who had just exited a room across the hall.
"Excuse me, where is Chris Evans? He was in this room?" I asked as politely as I could.
"He's not here anymore, he transferred to Everest Hospital in Connecticut." She responded dryly before walking down the hall.
Everest? That's where Lisa is! Why would they move him there?
The nurse then turned and called back to me before turning the corner.
"He's having surgery there."
