Dances

      Victoire Weasley-

     I looked down at the ground as I walked towards the Ravenclaw tower. The halls were dark and gloomy. I hated how dark the halls were at night. It set a very creepy mood upon the school. 

     I soon got to the Ravenclaw tower and quickly answered the question. I walked in and smiled at some of my fellow Ravenclaws. I walked up to my dormitory and saw Sarah sitting on the couch. She gave me a large smile and said, "Hey Vic, what's up?!"

     "Um... nothing much. How are you, Sarah?" I said. 

    I sat down on my bed and waited for Sarah to reply. Sarah groaned and said, "I'm bored. I want to go to a party. Like one of those Slytherin parties. You know what I'm saying? They always throw the best ones."

     I laughed and said, "I'm sure there is one, after all it is Saturday. There is probably one at the room of requirement. We could ask Tommy. He always knows about parties."

    "True, I'm gonna go ask him," Sarah said. She got up and left the dormitory.

     I got up and followed her out of the room. Tommy was sitting on the couch and gave us a mischievous grin. "Came to the Party Expert I see. Well lucky for you, there is a back to school party in the room of requirement. It starts in an hour," Tommy said.

     "Perfect! Let's go get ready Vic!" Sarah said and dashed to the staircase.

      I rolled my eyes and thanked Tommy. I walked up to our room and saw Sarah throwing clothing all over her bed. She gave me a small smile and turned back to her work. I went over to my trunk and looked through all my clothes. 

     In the end, I went with a black dress that flowed out at the skirt. I put on pair of opaque tights under it and a pair of black converse. I tied my hair up in a ponytail and redid my makeup. I did a large wing with a bright red lip and kept the rest of it simple.

      I smiled at myself in the mirror and turned to look at Sarah. Sarah was in a dark blue dress that looked good with her dark brown hair. She had curled her brown hair and had simple make up. She wore a pair black heels and she smiled at me.

     "You ready?" I asked. She nodded and we went down the stairs.

      We soon got to the room of requirement and there were a ton of kids. Students from each house were there and dressed in crazy party wear.  Sarah went towards the dance floor, but I searched for Teddy. 

      Teddy was at the food table with one of his friends. I think it was Lincoln, but I couldn't tell. Lincoln whistled at me and Teddy slapped him in the chest. I laughed and said, "Hey guys! How are you?"

      "I'm good. You look extremely good," Lincoln said.

       Teddy slapped him again and said, "I'm good. You look gorgeous. How are you?"

        "I'm good, you look nice too," I said. I grabbed Teddy's arm and led him towards the dance floor.

       We were soon there and began dancing. Teddy gave me a wide grin and I smiled. "Sorry for Lincoln. He's just a jackass," Teddy said.

       "It's okay. I don't mind," I quietly said. 

       We danced quietly together, jumping up and down. Dancing crazily with the rest of the crowd. I had forgotten how fun these dances were. Once the loud song finished, it switched to one of my personal favorite songs. It was "Afire Love" by Ed Sheeran.

      People slowed down and didn't dance as crazily as they had. Some people left the floor, more than likely to get refreshments. But Teddy took me in his arms and I laid my head on his chest and we danced. 

      I quietly sung the words to the song and Teddy smiled at me. "Did I tell you how pretty you looked tonight?" Teddy whispered.

     "Only a thousand times," I whispered and laughed a bit. 

     Teddy chuckled and said, "Well, you do."

      "Well thank you. You look absolutely lovely too," I said and smiled. 

     We didn't talk for the rest of the song, but it was nice. We just rocked back and forth, holding each other as we danced. I closed my eyes and wished that this could last forever. But I knew it would end soon, everything would end soon.
