Unforgivable Sin

Chapter 8

*Liam's POV*

I went to the doctor's office and he told me to sit down

"Mr. Payne, your daughter suffered from lungs problem due to the fire and also her kidney failed her. For a girl of 2 years is much too much for her to handle"

"So what are you insinuating?"

"Am sorry Mr. Payne we tried our best but we lost her. Am sorry"

Those words were like bombs in my head. What am I to tell Krista? How will she react? I know Maya is one thing that makes her very happy. I can't think of how the band and girls will react. I left the doctor's office to the waiting room where I met the rest of them

"What did the doctor say? Can I see Maya? Is she alright?" Krista asked. I didn't know how to tell her.

"Krista, am sorry. We lost her"

*Krista's POV*

"Krista am sorry. We lost her". Those word exploded like a bomb of fire in my brain. I had to intenalize every word of Liam I just heard. I stood there like I was frozen. Liam shook me

"Krista are you ok?"

"Yea. I just wanna go home please" I said and rode with the boys back to the house. I was the first to come down. I ran to the room and locked myself in. My cry was louder than any music blasting from the club

"She needs space" Kira said.

I heard a knock on the door. apparently it was Liam. I wasnt redy to talk to anybody. I just wanted to be on my own or now.

"Krista, I know you are in there but you need to open the door. I won't have anywhere to sleep"

I totally forgot that Liam and I were sharing a room. I stood up from the floor and went to open the door. I went back to bed and began to cry again.

"Krista, Its ok. You need to calm down"

"Liam I just lost a daughter and you expect me to calm down, maybe because its not you that carried her in your womb for 9 months and you expect her to have a lovley teenge party, her sweet sixteen, her first kiss, her first day of college, her first day of getting a job or her wedding day or the day she gets pregnant and gives birth"

"Krista, am right here with you and you know that I will never leave you. I love you"

"Liam please I need some sleep" I said and turned to sleep

"Goodnight Krista" he said and kissed my head. I began to silently sob. I didn't know how to handle the death of a child. I could feel my heart breaking to pieces. I finally slept.

I was awoken by mmy phone ringing. I saw the caller Id and saw it was Sam. I picked up the phone

"Hey Sam"

"Krista?"

"Yes, what's wrong"

"It's your mum"

"What happened to my mum?"

"She's in the hospital. SHe heard of Maya's death and she fainted out of shock. Come to St. Catherine's hospital"

"Ok. Am on my way " I said as I cut the phone then Liam woke up

"Krista, where are you ging to?"

"Liam, my mum is in the hospital. She fainted. I need to see her."

"I'll come with you. It's 2 in the morning anything can happen."

"Thanks" i said as we both went downstairs. I grabbed the key to my car and I sat in the drivers sit. I began to cry.
