Chapter 5: Drama Rises

The next morning went as usual. Get up, get dressed, and go to breakfast. After breakfast, Caroline and Nikki joined Zack and Spencer to hang out. They played ping pong outside of the mess hall. It was Caroline against Zack.
Zack couldn't stop looking at Caroline and lost the match.

"Zack! You suck at ping pong!" Caroline exclaimed. Zack replied sweetly, "I don't suck! I just couldn't stop staring at you." Caroline blushed and gave Zack a kiss. Nikki rolled her eyes. Spencer laughed.

After playing ping pong, they sat and talked. Right in the middle of their truth or dare game, Alex from Caroline's cabin came and sat next to Zack. "Hey," Alex said to Zack.
Zack looked confused. "Hello?" He said.

"Your so cute!" Alex said to Zack. Caroline went green with envy. Zack saw Caroline and spoke up to Alex. "Sorry, Alex. I already have a girlfriend. Don't even go there." Alex frowned. "Ugh!" She said as she walked away.

Zack calmed down Caroline with a kiss. "Don't worry, babe. I love you and nobody else." Caroline blushed. "I love you, too!" Suddenly, Anna walked up and sat on Zack's lap. "Hey hottie!" Before Zack could say anything, Caroline got up and pushed Anna off Zack's lap. "Zack is my boyfriend! Get lost, Anna!" Caroline exclaimed. "Maybe I don't wanna get lost," Anna said smirking. "Do I look like I'm kidding?" Caroline said intimidatingly. Anna shrieked and ran.

"Whoa, babe!" Zack said looking shocked. Caroline sat back down. "Why are girls suddenly into you?"
"To be fair, I am pretty hot," Zack said. Caroline chuckled and kissed Zack. Caroline got up and was about to walk away when Zack grabbed her and made her sit on his lap. They both laughed. "Well, I'm gonna go because this is getting awkward. You comin' Spencer?"

Spencer and Nikki left the romantic couple alone. They took a walk to where they do archery. Luckily, they were alone and the place that archery was held was completely hidden from view. "I don't know how to shoot an arrow," Nikki said embarrassingly. Spencer replied, "That's ok. I'll teach you."

Spencer grabbed a bow and handed it to Nikki. An arrow fell down on the ground and both Nikki and Spencer both reached for it. Their hands touched. Nikki blushed and Spencer smiled. Spencer grabbed the arrow and gave it to Nikki. He then went behind Nikki and put her hand in the right place. He put his hand on hers and pulled the arrow back. It swung and hit the middle. Nikki looked at Spencer. He lunged foreword, grabbing her and bringing her to his lips.

Nikki felt that feeling again. The feeling of being loved. They stood there, hands wrapped around each other, kissing. Well, kissing was an understatement, they were making-out. It lasted for about two whole minutes. Nikki finally had to pull away from the kiss. "Wow. You've improved on your kissing," Nikki said smiling. "I've been practicing," Spencer replied. Nikki looked puzzled. "Practicing with who?"
"My pillow," Spencer said smiling. They laughed.

Caroline who was now alone, started walking towards the grass area hearing a guitar strum. She started walking towards the sound seeing Zack. Caroline also heard him singing, but his voice was really good. She gasped, He's singing my song! She thought. Caroline always writes songs in her songbook.

Caroline ran to Zack. He stopped strumming. "Hey, babe!" Caroline who didn't notice saw a girl next to Zack, she had long brunette hair and a little makeup. She was wearing a crop top showing half her stomach, which made Caroline disgusted. "Babe, who's this?"
Zack uttered the sentence out without being scared. "My ex-girlfriend, Ella."

Nikki and Spencer were having a lot of bonding time. Spencer laughed at a comment Nikki made, then it went quiet. "Spence?" Nikki said. He looked up. "Huh?"
"I love you." He smiled. "I love you too." Nikki hugged Spencer tightly resting her head on his chest. "We're together forever...Promise?" He said. Nikki nodded and Spencer kissed her forehead.

Caroline's eyes were wide. "What song are you singing?" She said with her arms crossed. "I'm singing the song you wrote," Zack replied looking uneasy. "You snooped around my cabin?" Caroline said shocked. "No, that night when you fell asleep, I carried you to your bed. I noticed your songbook and I wanted to get some inspiration. Sorry," Zack said with soft eyes.

Caroline looked angry. She grabbed the book from his hands and ran to her cabin crying. Zack ran after her with his guitar. All her cabin mates were in the mess hall having dinner, so the cabin was empty. Caroline burst in her cabin, shut the door, and buried her head in her pillow.

Zack burst in and shut the door. He sat on the edge of Caroline's bed. "Your not supposed to come into a girl's cabin," Caroline said calmly. "And your not supposed to come into a boy's cabin," Zack smirked. Caroline looked at him angrily. "Why are you so upset?" Zack asked curiously. "Well, let's see. My boyfriend is singing a love song to another girl and he stole my songbook!" Zack laughed.

"You got it all wrong! I was using your songbook to get inspiration to write you a song!" Zack said. "Why were you singing it to your ex-girlfriend?" Caroline asked. Zack replied, "I was asking her if it was good. I wanted to know from a girl's point of view."

Caroline sat up on her bed. "Sorry, I freaked out. I should've trusted you," Caroline said apologetically. Zack kissed her hard on the lips and didn't break away. Caroline didn't break away from the kiss, either. When they stopped kissing, Caroline broke the silence. "You still shouldn't be in a girl's cabin. What will my counselors think when they see us making-out in a girl's cabin, on my bunk?"

Zack laughed and kissed her again. Then, he brought out his guitar and strummed again. He started singing a sweet love song. Caroline's eyes were shining as Zack sang. When the song was finished, Caroline and Zack inched closer and closer and were kissing again. The counselors might have walked in at any minute, but they just kept on kissing.
