(Athena's POV)

All of us were ready and climbing up on the horses as Jess lead us to her country house. We chosen to ride bar so we didn't have to worry about all the tack while at the party. It was about six when we arrived at her house. My parents and brothers were already there. My friend's parents arriving too and a couple of families I haven't met were there. Riding up and settling the horses back near the gated woods.

Suddenly, I saw him, the mans in the woods. His black hair and blue eyes. Seeing that he wore a tight black shirt and jeans, again with his cowboy boots. He had also seen me and he was smiling as I hooked up Holli. My friends finished up were their horses, but suddenly I felt a hand on my waist. I jump, turning around and seeing him right behind me now. "Why, hello?" I gasped out. He winked at me, "Hello, Athena. It's nice to see you again."

I grumbled, stepping back and looking up at him, "Same here." That's when my friends came over and having my back. "Hello, who are you?" Melody asked, standing beside me with some sass. Tyler was suddenly beside us, "Oh, girls, there you are. I see you've met Damon. His brother and him just moved to town too. Neighbors, so be nice." He joked around, but we all stared at Damon. "Also, Melody your brother wants to see you." Tyler said, dragging Melody away to her brother.

"Jess, why don't you go with her. Courtney, will you come with me?" I said, practically giving her the puppy dog eyes. "Fine, but I'm going to need some of this delicious food." Courtney said with a smile as we walked toward the food. Damon was then right beside me as we walked, "They are cooking some burgers and dogs. They are probably done by now." Damon chimed in. We walked over to the house and into the huge kitchen. It smelled amazing in here.

Courtney and I pounced on the food. Burgers, chips, fruit, and mixed salad with wonderful looking cookies. For drink we grabbed bottles of water. We headed outside and sitting at one of the picnic tables. Damon had also grabbed some food. Eating in front of me while Courtney sat next to me. About half way through our meal, a young man came over and sat down next to Damon. I looked over at Courtney, her mouth was wide open. She was just staring at him, eyes almost sparkling. "Close your mouth. You are going to catch the flies." I quickly whispered in her ear.

She did what I said, but Courtney continued to stare at him. I looked at him for a moment, he had brown hair and dark brown eyes. He looked somewhat like Damon, "I'm sorry, who are you?" I asked, interrupting their conversation. "Oh, my name is Blake, and you fine ladies are?" He looked at me and then over at Courtney.

"You're the young lady from the park." He said, glancing at Courtney again with a big smile on his face. She just continued staring at him and I nudged her arm. "Y-yes... I am. My name is Courtney."

Blake reached over and kissed her hand gently, "Well, Courtney would you like to go and do a round of dancing with me?" Blake asked her. She nodded her and left her food, getting up with him. Courtney then left, leaving Damon and I to finish eating. He threw away the trash and then sat back down. "So, Athena would you like to go and help me start the bonfire? We need to go get the firewood." Damon asked me. "Sure, I will help you." He took my hand in his and we went to look for some firewood.

(Courtney POV)

I was devouring my food when the studd from the park came and sat down across from me. Almost choking on my food, but when he asked me to dance. I practically wanted to pass out right then and there. He took my hands in his and lead me into the makeshift dance floor with a live band. A slow country song came on and Blake quickly wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer with a big smile.

"You look absolutely beautiful." He whispered in my ear. I slowly looked up at him, "Thank you. You don't look that bad either." I said, looking him up and down, he wore a cowboy hat and boots with jeans and a plaid shirt. It wasn't buttoned all the way. So I could see some of his tan chest. He laughed at my words and I laid my head on his chest. Dancing for a couple of songs. Until it was time for the bonfire to be started. As the song ended, he gently put a finger under my chin. Making me look up into his dark eyes.
