INT. APARTMENT - NIGHT - SOFT LIGHTS

The apartment was silent except for the trembling voice of Taehyung kneeling on the polished floor.

Tears soaked his cheeks, nose red, hands clinging to Jungkook's as if they were the only thing anchoring him to the world.

"I'm sorry!!" he cried again, his voice cracking. "Please... I'm sorry... I want you both back."

Jungkook stood still. His expression was unreadable. Blank - too calm. Too quiet.

"I left you when you were pregnant... I walked away when I should've held you..." Taehyung sobbed. "I thought if I told you to abort, maybe... maybe you'd be free from the ruin I believed a child would bring to your life."

His eyes were swollen as he looked up. "But you kept the child. You kept our child. You raised him all alone. And I... I chased something that felt so empty without you in it."

Jungkook's voice came low, but sharp, cutting through the air like glass:

"Don't ever say that my child ruined my life."

Taehyung froze.

Jungkook's hands trembled as he balled them into fists. "Not once did I blame him. Not once did I regret giving birth to Teo. He is the reason I kept living when I wanted to die. So don't you dare say it like he was a burden."

"I-no-Jungkook, I didn't mean it like that," Taehyung stammered, crawling closer, his knees scraping against the floor. "I know I messed up. I know it's unforgivable. I just-none of this was planned. None of it."

He looked up, his voice hoarse. "But I love you. I love Teo. And I've loved you since then, since before. I just... I was a coward."

Jungkook's jaw clenched.

"I thought about you every day," Taehyung whispered. "Every time I smiled on stage, I was dying inside. I kept asking myself what would've happened if I'd just stayed. If I had the courage to be a father. A partner."

He pressed his forehead to Jungkook's hand, eyes tightly shut. "Four years ago, when Teo said those words... I couldn't breathe. Because I deserved them. I still do. But I came now because I want to fix this, Jungkook. All of it."

"You think I don't know what you went through?" Taehyung's voice cracked again. "That you had to sleep with strangers to keep food on the table? I was too ashamed to even ask. But I never blamed you. Never. If anyone's at fault, it's me."

Jungkook's breath hitched.

"I don't want to be pitied," Jungkook said quietly.

"I'm not pitying you," Taehyung said firmly. "I'm begging. I'm fighting-for once, I'm fighting for the right thing. For you."

"I'll leave everything," Taehyung whispered. "My career. My name. My stage. If it means I can come home. To you. To Teo."

He clutched Jungkook's hand tighter.

"Twelve years, Jungkook... twelve years of pain and love and silence. Let me make the rest of them right. Let me make them ours."

A long silence followed...

Taehyung was still on his knees, the room filled with the soft hum of the night. The air was thick - not with hatred, but with the weight of years lost, dreams broken, hearts aching.

Jungkook stood before him, blankly staring down.

His voice came soft. Fragile. Almost like a child again.

"...How can I trust you back?"

Taehyung looked up.

There it was again - that trembling in Jungkook's lips, the way his eyes shimmered like back in high school. The same baby face he had back when he used to follow Taehyung around the school hallway calling him sunbaenim with shy grins and soft steps.
