"Prejudice is a learned trait. You're not born prejudiced; you're taught it."
Through a 12 year olds eye the world is such a big place, full of so many different people, jobs and possibilities. But for some reason everyone around me sees people as good and bad, I look around and see this occur every day, from my parents, friends and family. I don't understand what they say because I can't see what they describe. I suffered a stroke when in the first year of my life. This damaged the cones in my eyes and this caused me to no longer be able to recognise colour. Now, I only see grey.
Everyday I listen to people whining about black people, or others whining around white people, I can't tell the difference, they're all just shades of grey, none are black or white. To me everyone is equal, everyone is human and that's all that matters.
