Home India Airlines...

"Please fasten all seat belts for take off."

I groaned loudly. I hate flying! My stomach gets these weird cramps and I automatically feel like throwing up. Which is not attractive at all.

I gripped on to Rohan's hand as the plane picked up speed down the runway. The flight attendants calmly fastened their seat belts and even little children happily watched their TV screens without a care in their world! I closed my eyes as we tilted upwards and started to take deep breaths. I was panicking.

I felt Rohan rub his hands down my back in slow circles and my breathing slowed slightly.

"Hey?" He whispered. I nodded in response.

"We're in the air."

My eye lids fluttered open and I relaxed into my seat.

A beep sounded.

"All passengers, this is the captain speaking. We are now flying safely, you may take off your seat belts. There is a light breeze in the air and if you look out of your windows, you can just see up ahead the Taj Mahal! We should be reaching New York in around 15 hours. Please enjoy the flight. Thank you."

Another beep sounded.

"Good afternoon everyone. Please remember that lunch will be served in around an hour and that you can ask any time for assistance. Thank you. Enjoy the flight."

I groaned. Again.

"15 hours?!"

"Yeah. How did you survive the flight to India, Sonya?" Rohan asked.

"I don't know. I slept the whole way."

I pouted and then put my headphones into watch a movie...

Twilight? No! Snakes on a plane? Definitely not! Harry Potter? Yes!

I rested my head back and wrapped the blanket around me.

---------------------------------------------

"Vegetarian or non vegetarian, ma'am ?"

"Veg, please?"

She handed me the scrumptious plate of food. This airline was the only airline that had good food.

Rohan had the same food but with extra salad. Ugh! I hate salad.

I ate my food in small gulps as I was too intrigued by Harry's name coming out of the goblet of fire.

Out of the corner of my eye I could see Rohan asleep. I paused the movie and turned to him. He looked so cute when he was asleep! He looked really tired though, his frown lines creased his forehead and there were a few bags under his eyes. Someone's not been sleeping for a while!

I smoothened the frown lines and shifted his head so that it rested comfortably on the seat. He immediately shifted so that his head was in the crook of my neck. I froze. Don't wake him up. I shifted awkwardly around in my seat till I was comfortable enough to watch the movie.

I looked at the time on the screen. We had only been in the air for 3 hours! I think I'm going to go mental!

Harry was calling for his broomstick to evade the dragon and get the egg. Come on Broomstick, come on, come on, come on!

"YES!" I leaped up in my seat and cheered in happiness. I looked around and saw everyone staring at me.

The flight attendant walked towards me. Uh?...

"Ma'am could you please quieten down there ARE other passenger's on board!"

I nodded my head and mouthed a 'sorry' before shrinking back into my seat again. The little kid next to me shot a death glare at me because I had rudely interrupted his Transformer's movie. What?! Harry got the golden egg and THAT is definitely more important than his robot's in disguise!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was watching The Hunger Games movie when the light's dimmed and I looked out of the window to see a magical cast of city light's underneath me. It was beautiful, it was like an array of fireflies scattered all over the land. Beautiful.

Rohan woke up and asked for his coffee. Whilst I just stared out of the window.

"Sorry, I slept for so long. What'd I miss?"

I turned to look at him and my breath hitched. Why did he have to look so good? Hair dishevelled, brown, sleepy eyes that anyone could just drown in and a bit of coffee on the side of his lip.

"Nothing much. Just me getting told off by the flight attendant for being happy." I sighed an exaggerated sigh "By the way, you have some coffee there." I pointed at it and he rubbed it off.

"Thanks."

He leaned over slightly, coming closer to me and I held in a breath as he came closer.

"Wow." He said softly.

"So beautiful." I blushed after he said that.

"Tha...."

"I think we're over Dubai." My eyes widened in realisation. He was talking about the city! I turned to look out the window and then back at Rohan to see him trying to not look smug. Jerk. I covered my cheeks in embarrassment and looked down at the Vogue magazine in my lap. He nudged me with his shoulder. He came closer when I didn't respond and whispered, ever so softly...

"You look beautiful too." I looked up and stared ahead of me, in awe. His voice was so husky and filled with passion that it made me want to cry. He kept inching closer and his warm breath fanned my neck, he nuzzled my neck and kissed the pulse point. I edged away slightly, in shock of what he did. as he sat back in his seat and started to read the New York Times as if nothing ever happened.

I caught the flight attendant looking our way and she gave me thumbs up. I smiled shyly and continued to watch my movie.

May the odds be ever in MY favour, if I'm to survive with the man known as Rohan Singh!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Passengers this is the Captain speaking. We are approaching our descent into John F Kennedy airport. Please fasten your seat belts for landing."

I buckled my seat belt up in record time and gripped Rohan's hand really tightly. He gripped my hand back reassuringly. The plane slowly tilted forward and I had to clamp my mouth with my hand to not scream. The runway came into view and then the plane picked up speed. The closer we got towards the runway the faster my breaths became. The little boy who gave me the death glare was still calmly watching his movie! HOW is that possible?! The tyres hit the ground and there was a slight bump till we were gliding across the runway and slowly we came to at least 5 miles per hour. I calmed myself down and then the plane was parked and stopped! End of a horribly, horrible plane journey!

Thank the heavens...

Not ALL of it was horrible though.

"Passenger's this is your captain speaking, we have landed at JFK. Airport! You may remove your seat belts now. The temperature outside is 25 degrees Celsius and sunny for the day. The time is 2pm and thank you for flying with Home India Airlines and Welcome to New York City! "
