It had been snowing for a while now as I made my way across the street pulling my coat closer to my body so the cold wouldn't get to me.

I was on my way home after a long shift at work.

I had walked today of all days with a snow storm suppose to hit later that day.

It had come faster than I thought so now I was trying to make it home before it got to bad.

I had just turned the corner when I bumped into someone and fell on my butt with a thump.

"Excuse me" the person says as they extend their hand to help me up.

I grab it and with help, I stand and wipe the snow from my pants.

I look up to thank the person for the help but find I'm alone on the street minus the lampposts.

I turn and look and find only the low glow of the light from the posts and snow.

I shake my head and take off to my apartment making it just as it started to snow harder.

I walk down the hallway and unlock and open my door just as my neighbor's door opens.

Out pops Mr. Meeker the 72 yr old with a smile on his face as he waves at me.

"How are you today Taylor? How was work?" He asks as he locks his door turning to me.

"Hey Mr Meeker, it was good. How is that arthritis of yours still bothering you?" I ask as I look in my pockets for my phone.

"Now Taylor what did I tell you about calling me by that name I said call me Ben, calling me Mr makes me feel old, and old arther been acting up, this is gonna be a big storm." He says while grabbing his cane from where he propped it up against the wall.

He makes his way down the hall and knocks on the nice little old lady's door who lives just a few doors down from me.

She answers with a sweet smile and waves to me letting Ben in before shutting the door.

I shake my head and check my phone as I make my way into my apartment and shut the door behind me with my foot.

I don't hear it shut so I turn to see what stopped it to find a figure standing in the doorway.
