Chapter 4 - Dead Man's Island
It was 2 days later until the crew docked the ship at Dead Man's Island. "I wonder why's it called Dead Man's Island...?" Danny said, in slight confusion and awe as they all came off the ship. Everyone turned round at him, as if to say 'What the fuck?! Are you mental?!'. Unsurprisingly, that's exactly what Dougie said to him. "Alright!! I'm sorry! I'm still tired from the journey here!!" Danny said, trying to defend himself. "Let's just start looking for a spot to begin." Dougie replied, leading everyone to a place each, Amy following him and they sit down together. "So do you like being the Captain then Dougie?" Amy asked, to make conversation. "Yeah it's pretty cool! I just wish I had some sort of companion to keep me company ya know? I mean, I love my crew, they're like brothers to me, but I need that someone who can look after me when I'm ill, iron my clothes and stuff..." He answered, laughing as he sees one of lizards crawl along the sand. "Well you have your lizards?" Amy said, smiling. "True, but a real companion...someone like...you..." Dougie quietly said, almost as a whisper, but he was just thinking aloud and it came out a little bit louder than expected.
Amy couldn't believe what this guy was saying. She was blushing at the though of it. She'd always known about Captain Dougie Poynter, or 'Dougwash', because he's one of the most famous pirates ever. And the fact she's sitting right next to him, is like a dream. She also knew that she had a little crush on him, but didn't know whether he felt the same way. Clearly he does....
"How do you mean?" Amy asked, pretending as if she didn't know what he was on about. "Well this might sound a bit odd as we haven't exactly known each other long, but I think I'm falling for you..." Dougie admitted, smiling sheepishly and looked down, playing with a piece of grass by his feet. This was it. Amy's chance to tell him she feels the same! But was she ready to tell him her true feelings?
