I coughed violently as I searched the smoke filled house. I could hear their screams. Leaf's was the loudest. I struggled through my burning hallway to reach them. I screamed back, telling them I wasn't going to leave them. The closer I got, the thicker the smoke was in my lungs. Soon I was stumbling over my feet fighting the banging in my lungs. Finally I make it to my parents room, but there's a burning column standing in between us. I tell Leaf to climb under it, but he's too scared. Dad urges him on because the ceiling's about to cave in. I hear sirens out from and pray they'll get here in time. Mom's sobbing is nearly heard through the cracking of burning wood. Just as Leaf gets brave enough to crawl towards me, a hand grabs me and pulls me back. I scream as I watch the column falls on his back. I struggle to reach him, but the grip is strong. I grow weaker with each quivering breath I take, until every thing goes dark.
