ALEXANDER'S POV
Her Mike is my Melly so I'll be able to understand where she's coming from. Coincidence both names start with an 'M'.
"Pretty straightforward name, nice." I said. She looked at me. "That's exactly what I thought when he first told me his name." She said. "Mike is such a simple name for such a complicated being, he could've lied but I don't understand why he would." I thought about it for a second.
"Maybe...he doesn't like his real name. You know how people say that they prefer being a villain in games because they're already a 'hero' in the real world. Maybe it's kind of like that, online is the only place he could change things he doesn't like about himself." I explained.
"Do you think like that? I mean, would you do that? Is it a Guy Thing?" She asked. A Guy Thing, huh? "I can't speak for anyone other than myself but yeah I guess so. I would do it, that's how I think."
"It would be nice if someone conducted an experiment, like y'know, those cool social experiments on YouTube." She said.
"That would be awesome I could watch social experiments all day." I said. "So entertaining!"
"Agreed!" She said pumping a fist up.
"Have you ever considered the possibility of-I mean that these guys are conducting an experiment on us..?" I questioned.
"Woah ho, that's kind of far fetched don't you think?" She asked.
I laughed, hard.
"Well, I don't know Leeci. I've already exposed 2/3 of myself to you already." I said.
"Huh?" She asked rising up from the ground.
"Yeah, it was stuff that meant a lot to me. What I've told you I mean."
"Oh...you mean Melly." She said in a low tone. She laid on the ground again, in the same position as before. "I get what you're saying but I can't relate because I haven't told you about Mike." She said. "You haven't told anyone about Melly, other than me then."
"So then," she continued. "I'll expose myself too."
Okay, okay. She's..she's something. She knows lots. My vocabulary isn't THE BEST, I have been shut out in a room for years after all. BUT I think I can dig for the right word, my online friends had a pretty badass vocabulary that I'm pretty sure I inherited. She's...um..lets see...
"Alrighty," she said, interrupting my thoughts. She got up, walked over to me, and sat next to me. "Don't look at me when I talk to make things dramatic, like in movies, okay?" She asked. I giggled. "Okay."
Why would she ask me not to look at her? Did I strike as creepy? My eyes darted in every direction. SOUTH, NORTH, NORTHWEST, WEST, EAST.
She put her finger on my chin and turned my head to face her. "Five seconds." She said and put her hand out. "What..?"
A second went by, a finger went down. "You can look at me for five seconds before I start."
Okay?
I looked her in the eyes. It's always weird looking people in the eyes because you're technically looking at just one eye.
Anyways, 5 seconds went by and she looked away. I did too.
"As I said, his name is very typical. But I guess it's alright 'cause I don't know any other Mikes. I don't remember how I met him but I know that it was in Hand Key Heidi 2. And I'm pretty sure it was through a friend but when I think about it-it's like, what friend? What friend of mine would be friends with Mike. Because my friends are really chill and stuff and Mike is reckless and outgoing, he has tons of haters, he even transitioned accounts to get away from the 'Mike Drama'."
"Oh dang..." I said.
"Yeah but then since my friends are chill they could probably put up with him." She continued.
"Its a bunch of if/or's right?" I asked. "Yes! Exactly!" She said happily.
"Ehem, Leeci and Alexander," someone interrupted. The voice was coming from a speaker above us.
"It's Alex..." I frowned.
"My Stranger?" Leeci asked looking up at the speaker. Is there something that I missed..? My Stranger? What the hell.
"Hello Leeci."
A smile formed on her face. Maybe she knows him?
"I'm going to need you guys to exit the room through the door Alexander came through." He said.
"Alex..." I whispered. "Please, call me Alex..."
"What? Are we finally leaving?" Leeci asked.
Oh jeez, please PLEASE tell me we're leaving this place!
"No, not just yet." He said.
FUCK.
"Will I see Alex again?" She asked.
She wants to see me again? How cute.
"Our organization isn't planning on reuniting you two, if that's what you mean." He said.
I was silent.
LEECI'S POV
I looked at Alex. He looked totally unaffected by what Stranger had said. Maybe he didn't hear?
The door that we were suppose to go through unlocked and an unfamiliar Stranger waited. Alex made his way to the door, I followed rushing to catch up to him. I feel like he doesn't care, but you know what...whatever!
"Girl, you go through that door." The man said pointing towards a door on my left. "Hell boy, to the right."
Hell boy? What the hell?
Alex sighed and looked at me immediately after his hand made contact with his door's knob. "Bye, Leeci."
I smiled at him. So he did hear.
"Alex," I said. "The Stranger said that this organization isn't planning on reuniting us but that doesn't mean we can't reunite when we get out of this mess, right?" I asked.
"Right." He smiled. "And Alex," I said. "Add me, Leeci1002."
"Sweglord23, lord with a zero." He giggled and we were off.
