I woke up earlier than normal. "6 am?" I groaned and looked at my phone. I got up and walked into my hallway bathroom, trying the best not to wake up my family. I turned my straightener on and walked back into my room, to the closet and picked out a white t-shirt, a pair of tight legged overalls(which I think are really cute), socks and my black leather combats boots.
I tip-toed downstairs and made a pot of coffee, a girl needs some caffeine! After my coffee was done I threw some Vanilla creamer in it and quietly ran back upstairs. I picked up my sheet music off my piano and started singing "Defying Gravity" so cliché right I know but that's what I wanted to sing for my audition. I quieted down as I entered the bathroom. I locked the door then stated to belt! Hoping my family didn't hear me, but I didn't even care. I started straightening my medium length brown hair and did some vocal warm ups. This audition is one of the most important things in my life right now I didn't want to blow it. After my whole head was finished, I grabbed my backpack and walked downstairs. My mom was awake, cleaning the kitchen. "Good morning," I said all happy, probably from all the coffee. "Good luck with auditions, sweetie." She kissed my head and I walked out the door. I don't usually eat breakfast every morning, coffee usually fills me up.
I only lived about a block from school so I usually walk. I heard singing from behind me and footsteps. Not unusual because a lot of kids walk to school. But this voice was like I knew it, from somewhere. I turned around and saw Scott Hoying looking down at his phone. "Well, well, well if it isn't Mr. Hoying," I said as his head snapped up. "Hey, Bella!" Scott and I did theater together as kids, but we lost touch. He side hugged me and we continued walking to school, talking about auditions. Once we reached school, I stood right beside him as we walked to our lockers, which weren't that far away from each other.
"SAMANTHA!" I heard. I looked to see Mitch Grassi running down the hallway with his arms wide open. He ran up to Scott and gave him a hug. I laughed then Mitch looked at me. "God, where do I know you from," he said to himself as he pointed at me. I snapped my fingers twice and started singing the Addam's family theme song. Me Scott and Mitch broke down into song. We did Addam's family together as kids. I was Wednesday, Scott was Lucas's father (A/N if you've never see the musical it's really good and Wednesday falls in love with this kid named Lucas) and Mitch, because of his tiny size compared to me, was my little brother. We started laughing, we exchanged numbers then walked off to class. My first period was History. My favorite. I loved learning about the past.
I walked back to my locker and saw Mitch, Scott, and a short blonde haired girl. When they got closer I saw that it was Kirstie Maldonado. We quickly gave each other a big hug and squealed. We did so much together as kids. But just like me Scott and Mitch, we lost touch. She told me she was auditioning after school today. I was so excited but scared because she is really really good.
A few classes went by then came study hall. Beloved study hall. Our teacher who taught our first study hall of the day wasn't strict at all we could whatever we wanted to do. I never noticed that Scott, Mitch and Kirstie were all in my study hall so we sat at the back of the classroom, pulled out our laptops and starting listening to music with one earbud in one ear and the other unused. "I'm so nervous," I said as I replayed "Defying Gravity" multiple times, afraid I wasn't going to be able to hit that last note. "Oh pssht please! You're amazing!" Kirstie said, patting me on the shoulder, encouraging me. "Thanks!" I replied with a smile. Mitch started doing a little dance and lip syncing to something I couldn't make out. Probably Beyoncé. We all stared at Mitch, he didn't even notice us. I took out my phone and started to record him. I laughed, trying to keep it in but couldn't. I fell onto Scott's shoulder, us both crying of laughter. He looked at us as soon as Scott and I were about to fall off our chairs. "Why are you all laughing so hard?" "Y-you!" We exclaimed, actual tears coming out of all your eyes. Not Mitch's thought, he looked upset and embarrassed but at the same time it's like he didn't even care. Which he probably didn't. After we calmed down I showed him the video and he replied, biting his nail, "Oh god, delete that!" I did but he forgot that I still have it in my "Recently Deleted". We talked about music and soon Scott brought up A Capella. "Mitch, Kirstie and I do A Capella. We call ourselves 'The Trio'" He told me. "Sounds cool! I've always wanted to give A Capella a shot." "We always meet up on Thursdays at Scott's house right after school to about 6 or so," Kirstie replied. "If you want to come join us," Scott said. "Sure sounds amazing, sure you guys don't mind?" I asked. "OF COURSE NOT!" Mitch said, more loud than he should have said it. "Cool!"
Lunch came and Scott gave my A Capella 101 and taught me the basics. I got Scott's address and I agreed I would from now on be meeting up with them every Thursday night.A/N Hey hope you enjoyed that first little chapter more to come sooner stay positive ;)
