I sit all alone in the corner of the class knowing I won't fit in.
Sure, people are near me, but no one turns around to include me.
I don't want them too either.
I sit alone as a boy approaches me.
I look up to see him standing in front of me.
He opens his mouth to say.
"You're beautiful."
I look up and give him a blank look without any words.

"She is a weirdo."
And they all laugh.
Little do they know.
I have never been told that before and even hearing it as a joke makes me hope.
Maybe one day?
Someone will actually mean it.
