Chapter 28

"Babe we really need jobs now," Nate said making me look up from my laptop. "What?" I giggled. "Well both kids are in school now" he said. "And now we don't have to watch them all day and we could always use extra money. I mean unless you want me dealing again?" I looked at him. "No, you're not dealing and that's for sure." I said. He laughed. "Good cause even if I had to I wouldn't" he smiled. "Let's go look for jobs" he smirked standing up and putting on a shirt while I slipped into some skinny jeans. "Let's go, we only have until three" I smiled as he grabbed his car keys.

It's now 2:45 and we were in our way to get Annica because her school came a block before Aidens and got out 5 minutes before he did. "Hi mommy! Hi daddy!" I heard Annica scream. "Haha hey baby, how was your first day?" Nate asked scooping her up into his arms. "It was fun I guess but this kid, his name was I think Logan and he stole my crackers" she pouted. "Wow, does daddy need to kick Logan's butt?" He asked. She giggled, "No daddy were friends now!" She said with a big smile. "Hey now, no friends that are boys! Daddy's doesn't like that" Nate pouted playfully. "But maybe when your older I'll like it because then someone will treat my princess like a queen" he reasoned kissing her forehead. "Okay you dorks let's go pick up Aiden" I smiled.
We arrived at Aidens school and all walked up to the doors and waited for Aiden to come out. Annica and Nate were engrossed in their own conversation as I saw Amy. "HEY!" I smiled waving at her. "Oh hey Ana!" She smiled. "Mama!" I heard Aiden but couldn't see him. "Hey buddy," I smiled as he got closer to me. He hugged me tightly and smiled up at me as I brushed his hair back. "Where's your friends?" I smiled. He pointed behind him as I heard Amy taking to Jace and Cassie. "Mommy?" He smiled. "Yes baby?" I answered. "Can Jace and Cassie come over this weekend?" He asked, batting those long eyelashes from his daddy. "Hmmm if they want to. I'll talk with Mrs. Amy about it okay?" I smiled at Amy. He nodded and went over by Nate. "DADDY! Then Logan come over too?! Nobody will be there my age!" Annica cried. "Babygirl Uncle Sammy and Uncle John and Uncle JJ are coming over!" I said helping a bit, or trying. "NO!" She screamed. "Youngest one?" Amy asked referring to the screaming girl. "Yep" I giggled. "She may or may not be a little crabby right now so we're gonna go I wi-" I started to say but caught by Annica screaming and Nate pulling her by her arm. "Aiden," I called him over. "Stay with mommy while daddy and Annica have a talk" I said. He nodded and talked with Jace. "As I was saying," I laughed lightly. "We will talk this week about them coming by, okay?" She smiled and nodded. "They'd like that. We'll talk. See ya tomorrow" she smiled saying goodbye. I took Aidens backpack and walked with him to our car, where Nate stood tall looking down at the pavement where Annica was throwing a fit. "What's going on?" I asked. "She decided she didn't want to listen and threw her hissy fit right there" he said. She kept crying and went into a full sob. "Mama doesn't feel any pain for you, Annica. Daddy will leave you here all by yourself if you don't stop. You need nap time" I said. I picked her up and put her in her car seat. "Aiden, in" I said and he walked around to his door. The way home, Annica cried but slowed down a little. "She's crabby," I stated. "She needs an ass whooping." Nate said. "want candy Annica?" I heard Aiden ask nicely. I watched her take it into her hand, bringing her arm back and chucking it up front. "FUCK ANNICA! IM DONE WITH THIS SHIT! TIMEOUT AND NAP WHEN YOU GET HOME!" He yelled making her cry again. "Nate, calm" I reminded him. He sighed as I rubbed his hand. "Mama?" Aiden mumbled. "Yes bud?" I smiled at him. "Why is daddy so angry?" He asked. "He's not angry, baby. He's just upset with Annicas temper" I said. He nodded. "Want to play your game?" I asked him handing him my phone.

Once we got back home I took Annica right upstairs and didn't leave until she was asleep. Nate layed on the floor and sighed. "Cheer up," I smiled sitting on his butt. "She needs to cut that shit out" he said. "Yes I know but we all were like that at one point or another in our lives" I laughed rubbing his back. "You guys want pancakes for dinner?" I asked, to tired to actually cook a decent meal. "Yes please" they both said in sync. I smiled and got up. "Wait!" Nate said jumping up and pulling me into his chest, hugging me tightly. "Thank you," he mumbled kissing me lightly. "For always being sweet to me. And giving me a family. I love you" he smiled. I looked down and smiled. "I love you too" I laughed and walked into the kitchen where he followed me. "Nate go play video games with Aiden or something and I'll get you when I'm done" I smiled. He kissed my cheek, "okay I love you" he smiled. "Yes Nate, I love you too." I giggled. "Aiden I bet I can kick your butt in the Wii Mario Kart!" Nate yelled. "No way daddy!" I laughed as they raced down to the basement. "Quiet boys, there's a sleeping girl upstairs!" I laughed. Nate waved me off and I gasped. "NATHAN!" I laughed. "Kidding, kidding" he laughed.

"Nathan, Aiden, pancakes are done!" I yelled downstairs. They came up, "Aiden? Syrup or butter?" I asked. "Butter mama, you know I don't like syrup!" He laughed. "Just testin ya" I smirked. "How about you Maloley?" I asked. "Butter" he smiled. "Right my boys don't like syrup" I giggled. "Annica still asleep?" He asked. I nodded, "Think so" I said eating. "I'll go get her then" he said getting up. "She needs to eat" he said. I nodded as he disappeared upstairs. He soon came back with a very tired Annica. "Mamaaaa," she whined holding out her arms. I picked her up and set her on my lap. "Hungry?" I asked her. She nodded and layed her head on me. "Are you done being a little crab ass?" Nate asked. She hid her head in my neck. "Great now my own daughter hates me," he huffed. "No she doesn't" I told him. "Just eat" I said. He nodded and finished his pancakes. "Eat up baby" I said to Annica once I cut it all up. I set her on my chair and stood up, throwing my plate away. "Ah fuck" I said holding my back where a sharp pain went through. "You good?" Nate asked. "No not really I said sitting down against the counter. "Come here" Nate said picking me up. "No Nate it hurts!" I whined. He sighed and quickly carried me to the couch and layed me there.

I woke up around midnight to see Nate sitting on the chair across from me on his computer. "Babyyyyyy" I sighed rolling over. "Yes?" He laughed walking over to me. "Cuddle me!" I said stubbornly. "My pleasure" he said with that obvious smirk. "Back any better?" He said. "Yeah" I smiled he pulled me up and carried me to our room. "Annica tried arguing with me again," he said. "So she went to be early. I got her water and that was that" he said making me laugh. "She's gonna grow up to hate you, you know. Always yelling at her" I giggled. "She better not hate me. Because one things for sure, il all ways love her. As much as she's a little savage baby" he laughed. "Goodnight baby," Nate smirked. "Goodnight" I mumbled.
