"Hey, Sarah. It's okay, he's okay," Brian said, petting my hair. We had parked in the parking lot of the restaurant. Brian had insisted on stopping so he could calm me down, because, even though I didn't realize it, tears were streaming down my face.
"I know," I said, wiping tears from under my eyes. He kissed my forehead and looked down at my eyes. I could tell my eyes were watery by the occasional tear dripping down my face.
"Deep breathes, we're going to go to the police and tell them what happened," he said, brushing hair out of my face.
"Okay, can we go pick Lilith up, too?" I asked.
"Sure, as long as you stay in the front seat where I can keep an eye on you," he said, kissing my cheek. He started out of the parking lot, but paused before going out on the road.
"What is it?" I asked.
"I don't know where Lilith lives," he replied.
"Oh," I said, "Yeah, turn left. I'll direct you, it's on a turn on the road in about two miles."
"Okay," he said, turning left onto the road. He drove along until we cam to the turn.
"Now turn right," I directed. He did that and headed down the small street. "It's the third house on the left." He continued driving, until pulling up in the driveway of Lilith's house. "You have reached your destination," I smiled, mocking a GPS machine. I kissed him and smiled.
"You are the best GPS ever," he smiled, kissing me back.
"I know," I replied. We got out of the car and walked up the driveway and to the front door. I knocked three times and Lilith answered.
"Thank goodness you're here!" She exclaimed, tackling me in a hug.
"What about me?" Brian chuckled, stepping out from behind me.
"Didn't see you there!" She exclaimed, tackling him in a hug as well.
"Anyway," I said, "We came because we thought it might be a good idea to report this to the police and his parents."
"Oh right," Lilith said. "Well, come inside and sit down. I invited Rye (A/N if you don't remember him, go back to the truth or dare chapter) over after I heard about Henry. He's in the living room as well."
"Okay," I said. Brian and I followed Lilith into the living room where Rye sat on a couch. Lilith sat down next to him and Brian and I sat on a love seat that was perpendicular to them. (A/N that math vocabulary though.....😋)
"Well, now I think Henry's parents have the right of hearing that their son is missing before the police," Brian started.
"Agreed," I replied.
"So, I'll call them," Lilith said, pulling out her phone. She dialed their number and held the phone up to her ear. "Hello?" She said. "Yes, it is Lilith. I have some not great news to tell you. Well, Henry has been kidnapped. Please don't freak out. Yes, I know he is your only child. I'm pretty sure, I heard his windows shatter. No sign of the car. No clue, he called me because I was late. We were going on a search, he didn't tell you? Oh. Well. Yeah. No, Sarah planned it! I swear. I have texts to prove it. Fine. Don't cry! Okay, we're doing that right now. Don't worry, he's going to be okay. Yes. Goodbye." She hung up the phone and dialed the local police station, but before she pressed call, Rye spoke out.
"That was intense," he chuckled.
"Hah, very funny," Lilith said, pressing call. "Hi. Yeah, um my friend was kidnapped. Henry Porter. Uh, no, I didn't see it. I heard it though! Well, he was asking why I or my other friends weren't there. Lilith. Sarah and Brian. Okay, well, I heard his windows crash, and his phone dropped. Then the phone hung up. When Sarah and Brian went they saw no car and no Henry. Outside of the forest on the edge of town. Yes. Okay. Your welcome. Bye." She hung up and smiled. "Somebody is going to go out and investigate."
"Good," Brian said, putting his arm around me. Right at that moment our phones beeped, except for Rye's. And they beeped twice. I looked at my phone and saw two texts. One from Kayla and one from Henry. Kayla said 'Almost' and Henry said 'Home'. Then my phone beeped again. I read the text, shrieked, and dropped my phone to the ground.
