Selena's P.O.V
After getting some cereal and sitting down at the table, Demi's phone started ringing. She politely excused herself and went to answer her call in the hall. After about 20 minutes Demi still hadn't came back in so I thought I would go see what was happening. As I slowly walked into the hall, I was shocked to see Demi sobbing and murmuring into the phone no no!
"Demi?" I ask uncertainly...........
Demi's P.O.V
She's dead. My mum is dead. It was her doctor on the phone explaining that my mum had been in a car crash and a drunk driver hit her. He said she died instantly and there was nothing they could do to save her. It was already too late.
The doctor was saying other things but I honestly wasn't paying attention. I didn't want to hear anymore. I felt numb. Not the kind you get in your feet when you kneel on them for too long, but the kind that feels it will last forever, that it will never go away. I just can't believe she is gone.
I heard slow footsteps from behind me. I turned around to see a very nervous Selena. I dropped the phone and ran into her arms. We then went upstairs to her bed and she held me in her arms, just like I had done with her. And there I felt safe.
