Davy's POV
"You kidnapped her?!" Father screamed.
"No, not exactly."
Father narrowed his eyes at me. "Oh? And how do you explain the passed out girl on your bed?!" Father yelled again, pointing to Haley sprawled across my bed. I took the liberty to move to all of our stuff back into the room. It wasn't much of a hassle considering that I didn't have as many clothes as Haley did. Together, we manage to fill up the closet and then some.
"Father, many other alpha's kidnapped their mates, and look how that turned out!"
"Davy, some of them ran away, and I need you to hold her heart, her trust, so that she doesn't run away from you and to the other mate," Father said softly.
"Father, you kidnapped mom. This is just like you always say. Like father, like son."
"Son, your mother never wanted anything to do with me. She ran away as soon as she could. Nine months later I find you at my doorstep saying that she gave birth to you. You see? Kidnapping doesn't turn out well."
"But-what about-" I start to ask but father interrupts.
"Son, they gave me a second chance with a mate. Laney is your step-mother. So I suggest that you take Haley home before she wakes up and hates you forever."
We hear a groan from behind us and some mumbling. We turn and see Haley groggily sitting up while rubbing her head. She lets out another groan before looking around the room. "Where...am I?" She asks slowly. Her eyes widened when she found my father and me, and she instantly bolted up from the bed and ran towards the window. Somehow, I knew what she was going to do, as I was right on her tail.
Within seconds my arms were around her waist and hauling her back to the bed. She was flailing her arms and legs, trying to get out of my grasp, but it was to no avail.
"No! Let me go! Lemme go!" She yelled while slapping my arms.
I sighed and looked to father.
I'll show you to a room where she can't escape from. Father mind-linked.
I narrowed my eyes. It better not be the prison. She is my mate.
No. Actually, this is the room your mother was in before she left me.
I nod and follow him out of the room, all the while Haley is kicking and screaming. I huff and roll my eyes at her while repositioning her so she doesn't hit me where the sun don't shine. My father leads me through several hallways and we finally arrive at a tall steel door. Father opened up the door with little difficulty and I pushed Haley onto the fluffy bed and scurried out of the room before she could escape. Father and I slammed the door shut and locked it.
We turned our heads to look at each other and burst out laughing. This was the most time we've spent together in a while.
Haley's POV
I kick the door then curse loudly at the pain in my foot. I hopped around on one foot while holding the other in my hands and cursing like a sailor.
"Don't hurt yourself in there!" Davy warned.
"You're a dick! You can't just capture girls for the heck of it; just because you can!" I screamed angrily.
I faintly heard a sigh and something fall to the ground. "Haley, I didn't take you for the heck of it."
"The why in the world did you?!" I yelled.
There was a pause before he spoke. "None-ya."
I scrunched up my face in confusion. "What's 'none-ya'?"
I heard a snort from the other side of the door. "None-ya business!" He then started laughing uncontrollably. "Oh, man! I can't believe you fell for that!"
"Oh, hardy har har! You're so funny!" I screamed sarcastically.
"Um...this might be awkward if I ask this, but is it your time of month?"
"Yes," I dead-panned.
There was a choking noise from where I believed he was. "Do you...uh...need anything?"
"No, I just thought that I'd bleed to death-of course I need something!"
"What do you prefer, pads or tampons?"
"I'll need both. I'm having a really heavy flow and I'm afraid that I'll bleed through."
"Uh, okay, then..." I heard some scampering and his footsteps fading away.
Finally!
I turned away from the door and surveyed the room. It actually wasn't half bad. There was a king bed in the middle of the room with big fluffy pillows and a thick comforter. The color scheme of the room was dark; red black and gray. The floors, ceiling, and walls were cement, so even if I was in here my whole life, I'd never be able to get out. There weren't any windows. I know, I know...shocker! You'd think they'd have the decency of allowing some natural light in the room. There were florescent lights flickering annoyingly above my head, making me want to bash my head in. After a second look around the room, I realized that there wasn't a bathroom.
I groaned and lay down on the bed, deciding to take a little nap until Davy returns with my unnecessary feminine products.
***
There was a loud knocking on the door. "Haley! Get up!"
"What!" I scream.
"I got your...things..."
"There's no friggin' bathroom! How do you expect me to do anything!" Silently, I applaud myself for doing such a great acting job. I am on point!
Davy lets out a few curse words before answering me. "I guess I'll have to let you do your business in a different bathroom." I hear a click from the door, and it opens to reveal Davy in all his glory. Dang, he's hot. Wait-I can't think of him like this. I already have a mate. Bad Haley! Bad!
I stalk out of the room and moodily follow Davy around the house, memorizing everything and storing it in my head. We reach a door and Davy hands me a bag, then shoves me into the bathroom.
"Gah, moody much?" I mutter under my breath, but loud enough for Davy to hear.
"Sassy much?" He shot back.
"I've been kidnapped! I have a reason to be sassy, moody, and a jerk all at the same time. But, where's your excuse? Huh? Oh! That's right, you don't have one!"
"Dang," is all he says.
I smirk and finish up my business in the bathroom, then checked if there were any windows. I mentally sigh when I don't see any and walk out of the bathroom.
When I step out, I'm chest-to-chest with Davy and he's staring me down. "I know what you're doing. There aren't any windows in that bathroom. Did you think that I was stupid enough to bring you to a bathroom with windows?"
Mental note: May be a bathroom with windows nearby my prison.
I shrug nonchalantly and give him a dazzling smile. "Can't blame a girl for trying."
We head back to my prison, and I take note that it's not the same route we took to the bathroom. We make it to prison with no interruptions. Davy opens the door and gently shoves me inside.
"Do me a favor, and don't try to escape." Davy then shuts the door, locks it, then walks away.
Weirdly enough, I don't want to escape anymore.
