Junneth's funeral was tomorrow, which you were attending with Eddie to pay respect, it was the right thing to do given that she'd left Eddie her house and the remainder of her savings after she'd paid out of pocket for her own funeral expenses and so on. As well as you, Steve and Robin were driving down too, Eddie had asked Steve if he could find the time to come with because one of his cousins is a landlord with a decent amount of properties under his belt, so because of that Steve also knew a couple of tips from him, and his parents line of work which was similar.
Though, with the funeral on people's minds, it would be nice to have a short couple days trip away with the three of them again, and try and figure out what Eddie wanted to do with Junneth's home. You both packed a bag each and also got Odila sorted, she was coming along for a trip this time, her own bag packed with treats and toys, her favourite blanket, one of Eddie's old shirts, laid in her cat carrier, and her harness as she was a safe indoors kitty, Eddie walked around with her every night so she got fresh air, she wasn't seen far from his side. Steve was driving up in his own car with Robin, both packed already and got to your place so that you could head off together.
Before heading off, there was last minute apartment checks as you'll be gone for three days, making sure no lights had been left on, no candles... that stuff, and also; "Harrington, drink this~" Eddie asked from the kitchen as he poured out two glasses of milk, Steve's head poked up from the armchair, and then he got up to come over, "It's milk..." He said with little excitement, "No shit Sherlock, I'm not takin half a pint of milk with me, so drink up." He replied sliding the glass over the counter to Steve, "Do you have any cookies...?" He asked and Eddie blinked while looking at him,
"Can you not drink milk without any cookies?" "...Yes, I can, but it would be nice if there was something to dip in the milk, better than straight up mil~" "Ohhmygod, who knew Steve Harrington was fussy about how he drinks cow milk." Eddie teased turning his back to open up a top cupboard and grabbing the half eaten pack of cookies, "Is double chocolate chip okay for you, precious?" Eddie asked and Steve looked at him sarcastically and then snatched the cookies from him, whereas Eddie downed his glass of milk and rinsed out the glass within seconds, "We leave in 15, so eat up." He checked the time and then knotted up the trash bag to take outside to the bins.
