A New Beginning

The First Day

"Wake up!"my mom yells as I slowly started  to open my gray eyes. "Your gonna be late on the first day of your new school!" she yells again noticing my eyes were open.
I put my glasses on and looks at my clock, it's only 5:22 the bus doesn't get here until 7:30." I try to go back to sleep but I can't so I get out of bed and walk downstairs for breakfast. My dad is cooking me eggs and bacon because my mom can't cook very well.
"Good morning Lexi", my dad says to me as I enter the kitchen. I nod my head , too nervous to talk and sit down at the table. I suddenly get the feeling that I'm not hungry anymore but my dad makes me eat at least a couple pieces of bacon. When I'm done eating I go to my room to get dressed. I pull on my hollister skinny jeans, my black 5sos shirt with a black jacket, and slide on my high top converse.
I curl my dark brown hair and put on a little bit of eye liner and mascara, and brush my teeth. I grab my phone and text  friends from my old school and they all wish me good luck. I grab my head phones, slide them over my ears and turn on some 5 seconds of summer. Then I grab my bag and walk down stairs and watch for the bus.
     "Bye mom and dad!" I yell and walk onto the bus. Everyone is staring at me and giving me weird looks as I walk down the isle of the bus and sit in an empty seat.
I look down and silently start to cry. I miss my old friends. When suddenly I notice this really cute boy with brilliant blue eyes sitting beside me.
I wipe my eyes and look at him. "Hi I'm Jaleb.", he says looking me in the eyes. "H-hi I'm Alexa Myers but my friends call me Alex or Lexi.", I say quietly looking at the bus floor. " That's cool, I think i'm going to call you Alex. Our lockers will probably be beside each other because our last names start with the same letters.", Jaleb says then smiles.
He has the greatest smile in the world. He has one of those smiles that are so perfect you have to smile when you see it. "Maybe you can show me around a little.", I say. We compare each other's schedules and we have the same classes and he agreed to show me around.
We get off the bus and walk into the school. I can feel everyone looking at me and hearing whispers. I made out a couple saying I was hot and a couple saying I was ugly and creepy.
Me and Jaleb reach our lockers and find out we are sharing a locker because they didn't have any empty ones left. He looks at me and smiles. I look down and blush. "I'm glad I'm sharing a locker with you, you seem way cooler then other girls." says Jaleb. I look at him and put my stuff in our locker, "uh thanks."
We both end up looking into each other's eyes and smiling when our moment gets interrupted. A blonde girl with a pretty face, perfect hair, and body comes up behind us.
"Hey cutie." She says to Jaleb. "Hi Madison." I frown and look down and my black and white converse as he kisses her cheek. " Um well I better be getting to class." I say. " Wait I thought you wanted me to show you around!" Jaleb yells after me. I pretend I don't hear him and scan the names beside the doors of the classrooms trying to find one that says Mrs. Smith.
     When I finally find the classroom, there is only a couple of students in the classroom. I sit in the back in a corner as I watch the classroom get fuller and fuller.
     A girl with long light brown curly hair with perfect makeup and a short blue dress sits next to me. Jaleb was the last person to enter the room, right before the bell. He looks back at me smiles and sits in the only desk open, a couple rows in front of me.
     "Hi I'm Julie, your the new girl right?" she asks. "Yea I'm Alexa but you can a call me Lexi or Alex." I  answer. "Cool name, maybe we can hang out some time." she says smiling. I nod and smile. We talk a little more about random subjects then decides to focus on what the teacher is saying.
The bell rings, me and Julie walk out of the room together and separates to our lockers. When I get to my locker Jaleb is getting his books out. "Hi Jaleb." I say as I walk up behind him.
"Hello how was first period?" he asks me. "I made a new friend, Julie. She is really cool." I answer. "Do you wanna walk together to our next class. I'm sorry about Madison, we are just friends." "I would love to and it's fine, you guys would make a good couple." I answer.
I get math books out of my locker and we start heading to Mr. Wymer's class. We sit together because Julie and Madison aren't in this class. We talk but mostly about math and partner up for a project. Which makes a lot of girls jealous.
The bell rings and me and Jaleb walks to all of our classes together and me and Madison got to know each other a little better.
I get on the bus, put my headphones on and turn on Ed Sheeran. It turns out Julie and I ride the same bus so we sit together and Jaleb sits across from us. I give Julie and Jaleb my number so we can talk and maybe make plans.
I walk off the bus and into my house and yell, "I'm home!" My little sister Nateli runs up to me and gives me a hug, she is 3yrs old. My mom and dad walk in and asks me how school was so I tell them about Julie and Jaleb.
I walk upstairs to my room and lay on my bed when I get a text from Jaleb.
