L x Light Death Note Fan-fic

A grey screen with the word Kira label across it, with the usa coded voice appears on TV everywhere.

"Hello I am Kira. I've killed the unworthy pests in this world to protect the innocent. But by doing so I've become the very thing I wanted to destroy..." The screen shifts to someone standing of a tall building. A fire burning behind him.

"Behind me, I've burned the means in which I kill. No longer am I Kira and no longer shall there be any remains of how I kill. To my followers I say goodbye. Goodbye to this cruel, disgusting, despicable world." The man jumps dies on impact.

"Huh... could this be another hoax? What do you think, Yagami?"

"I don't know, Ryuzaki I guess we will have to see if the killing has stopped. My question is, why would Kira kill him self?"

"My guess is it finally got to him, could this case really be over?"

"We still have no idea how Kira killed those people... Ryuzaki how will we find out, if he is truly gone?"

"We may never find out Light. That's probably the worst part." L turns in his chair looking up at Light.

"All we have to do now, is wait this might be another trick."

-Yeah I know a shorter chapter but in case you didn't get what happened. Rem made them all forget then taking all the note books she used someone as her puppet and destroyed the evidence. She dies because of this and Ryuk has no other choice then to go back to the Shinigami realm. So maybe that's a little impossible but this is a fan fic, shut up. XD
