I take out the ten dollar bill I stole from Miss.Pat and go into the dollar store to get actual edible food. The food there sucks and sometimes you can even see the mold in your sandwich but you complain once you get whipped with the belt and you have to sleep in the basement for a night or two. I learned that the hard way. The only time I get good food is either when I steal it or on inspection day.
I buy my snacks and head over to the park and sit under my favorite tree. Call me childish but I named it Patrick after the starfish cause he was my favorite thing when I was a child. I pull my notebook out of my bag writing down a new song. I start humming the light hearted toon I want to go along with it but I get interrupted by a loud crack of thunder.
I ignore it hoping it doesn't rain today but I can already smell the rain in the air. I still keep writing and humming notes trying to come up with the melody and I get this feeling in my heart when I finally figure it out. It feels like I've accomplished something.
I start at the beginning singing full force since no one is around and suddenly feel like someone is watching me. I'm sitting right next to the woods so I started to think about the trees having eyes and giggled to my self.I start working on some other verses and and then the feeling comes back and it's stronger than it was before. I started to get really freaked out so I started packing up my food and notebook.
The thunder clapped in the sky and I shuddered somehow knowing someone was watching me. Was was sifting through my bag trying to find my hoodie when the first rain drop fell right on top of my nose. It wasn't long before it was a full force thunder storm. I ran into the woods trying to find cover in the storm and finally I ran into a dense part of the woods and all the leaves jumbled together creating sort of a roof for me.
The wind was blowing in all directions and the tornado sirens started going off and I got panicked. A trees a couple yards from me fell over and made me whimper thinking I could die out here all alone. I hugged my knees close to my chest as big fat warm tears rolled down my cheeks waiting for the storm to pass or at lease get lighter so I could run home.
As the storm raged around me all I could think of was how if I die I can see my parents again. The thought warmed my whole body even though it was freezing and I was soaking wet. As I thought about how much I missed my parents I heard a stick snap behind me I my once warm body was now cold and numb.
I slowly turned up wiping away tears so I wouldn't look too fragile to my attacker I slowly turned around to see a tall figure right behind me in all black clothing. As I opened my mouth to scream completely dropping the idea of fighting him he reached out and yanked my shoulder and turn me around and covered my mouth so my screams were faint and no one would hear them. He shushed me and when I started struggling he pulled something out of his pocket that appeared to be a needle and stuck it in my arm.
Black started to cloud my vision and my body started to get heavy and I felt like I haven't slept in years and the last thing I remember is the mystery person picking me up bridle smile and me thinking this is the time I die. He whispered in my ear "the trees do have eyes". And that's when my vision became dark.
