I'm doomed to be sent to some random camp, where nobody knows me, and I couldn't get my mom to change her mind even if I tried. There's no use. I ran to my room and slammed my door in rage, I can't deal with my mom, she knew this summer I planned so much stuff. I planned to go to the beach and relax, go on trips and adventures with my friends. It's the summer before freshman year too, the summer before high school, the summer before I get split up with friends going off to trade schools, and the summer I'm doomed to sleep away camp with no one I know.
"Ashley! you're overreacting! Just look over this pamphlet, they do so many fun things there! You'll have a blast, and besides I already payed. It's final so start packing, you leave on Saturday." says my mom as she slides the pamphlet under my door. Was I overreacting? after all it was just camp how bad could it possibly be?
I trudged over and picked up the pamphlet on the ground, "Camp Orchard" I mumble to myself. Flipping through the flimsy paper I noticed that ya this camp did have some decent activities. Archery, Boating, Hikes, Swimming, it could turn out OK. I through the pamphlet on my desk and grabbed my laptop to tell my friends about my upcoming nightmare.
