I remembered I forgot to close the blinds as the sun shined through in the morning waking me up. When I thought about it I haven't actually seen the sun in a very long time. I stretched a little before pulling the covers off and walking over to the window. I pulled the curtain back.
As far as I could see their was just mounts of grass. I wonder where I am. I tried to look around more but their was no hint.
Then a thought hit me. The sun was shining right on me but I couldn't feel anything. No warmth. I panicked. What was this infection doing to me! I ran to the bathroom and turned on the lights.
My face had gotten even more translucent but the most horrifying part was my eyes. They were even worse then yesterday. They had now taken on a gray color. I blinked repeatedly hoping they would go away but nothing changed. This was really happening.
Shit. I need to find a way to stop this thing from spreading any further.
Suddenly I heard a nock on the door and Caleb sticked his head in the door. "Ally?" he asked and I stepped out of the bathroom. When he saw me I swear I saw him grinning for a second before his face returned back to his normal expression.
"Hope you slept well. Your will be having breakfast with the Queen today so get ready and wear something nice."
I didn't feel like resisting today. Besides I agreed to help her right? Maybe if she thinks I am on her side she will tell me what exactly is going on. "Sure no problem."
Caleb smiled. "Great, I will be back in an hour." Caleb then left closing the door behind him.
I let out a sigh. What have I gotten myself into. I walked over to the wardrobe to see what I could wear.
Honestly at this point anything I wear is going to clash with the horrible tint of my skin so I just grabbed a simple pattered black and white dress.
I brushed my teeth and then put on the dress. I simply tied my hair into a ponytail. I looked at myself in the mirror. Well this was as good as it was going to get.
I turned off the bathroom lights and made my way back to the bedroom window. The endless mounts of grass looked beautiful and very calming. What I would kill to fell the texture of grass.
Suddenly out of the corner of eye I saw something go by. I looked toward that side of the window and saw a figure quickly run behind a mound. I waited to see if they would try to move again but their was nothing. Maybe I just imagined it.
I turned around and their was Caleb. I literally jumped out of my skin. "Caleb! When did you come in?" I asked recovering.
"Just a minute ago. Didn't you hear me?" he asked still looking outside the window. "No I didn't," I replied as I notice Caleb was looking at the same mound that I saw someone go behind.
I poked Caleb shoulder trying to get his attention. "So are we going?" I asked trying to turn his attention away from the window. Caleb turned around and looked at me.
"Yeah, come on. We don't want to keep her waiting. " Caleb started to walk toward the door and I followed behind him.
I took a quick glance out the window and saw someone run from behind the mound.
