Later Light lay in bed staring at the ceiling, L is still awake as well. The room is dead silent until Light hears L stand up walk over to the chair by the window and sit down. Light watches him and gets up slowly.

L- ' Light, if you really are Kira I don't care. Use me if you like, kill me even. All my doubts are gone your innocence.

"L what are you doing?" Light asks softly but L still jumps.

"Are you trying to give me a heart attack. Maybe you are Kira." L turns to look at Light smiling slightly.

"Haha Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Light sits down next to him.
L closes his eyes and faces the window.

"You really should get some sleep."

"I can't, my mind never shuts up. Also... I'm afraid. "

"Afraid of what?" Light asks.
L just sits there eyes remaining shut.

" I don't know, the dark I suppose, maybe myself..." He opens his eyes "Maybe I'm afraid to be alone."

"Ah..." Light watches L carefully.

Light- ' Afraid of the dark, what is he a kid... No... afraid of being alone the way he said that...

"Ryuzaki- I mean... Lawliet," L turns away for a moment. "I think everyone, in some way is afraid to be alone."

" Yes that's a fair assumption. But I'm also afraid to be around people. I never had many friends and I've never been told that- Never mind just more nonsense. You can leave now Light you have no obligation to try to comfort me."

Light stands up and extends his hand.

"Don't make me carry you. I'm not lying down till you do." L stares at his hand but doesn't take it.

"As you wish."
He gets up wipes his hand on his jeans and walks to his bed. He sits down on his bed his feet dangling off the edge.

- Oh no I'm interrupting again maybe I should make the chapters longer... XD Well the nest chapter is... interesting ;) Just skip ahead a chapter to one Titled Kiss if you just want to get to the intense parts. MUHAHAHAHA. ... I'm not okay
