"Well we see who got some cuddy last night." Mar said as I looked up and everybody was looking in my direction. "And don't even try that whole smooth 'I don't know what you talking about' shit nigga. We know you." he said and we all just started laughing. "Well...Antonio, no defending yourself. I guess they do know you." Jose said and I shook my head. These niggas always found ways to do the most. "Chill on my boy. You know he don't be the one to speak on the subject at all." Jay said. "It has been a few months though. So it ain't like it was a mystery." Charles said. "I mean...I'm trying to figure out how y'all been didn't know. I recognized it about a month ago." Riek said and the sad part is he is absolutely right about it. "Really? A month ago?" Jay said and it was my turn to laugh. "I still don't know how you be reading into stuff like that. But you're right though." I said as I finished my bowl of cereal and went and took it in the kitchen and went back up to the game room. "But you're good though. But I mean...it comes with the territory though. Of course eventually you gone smash who you're pursuing but it's different with her." I said. "She a freak, ain't she?" Mar said and we laughed again. "Y'all know it's always the super intelligent ones that be the biggest freaks on the low." he added. "I don't think we should be talking about the young lady like this." Jose stated. "Agreed. But we all know T was never gonna respond to that statement and we respect it." C Money said and he's absolutely right. "However, I do have a question though. So...are we closing the chapter on Toya?" Jose asked. "We haven't discussed anything about that. To be honest, in the past month has been the smoothest that the co-parenting has gone. Hell, Dox has came and picked up AJ from me and it's been super cool. I haven't even given it any thought for real." I said with a shrug. "So that mufucka between her legs must be magical cuz I never though you'd get off of Toya's team man. It's been some shit with her over the years." Mar said. "It ain't even about that. It's the amount of peace that I have now. I feel like I'm free to do me and be me. I've been on the right path without guidance from her or her input. I wasn't my own person for a long time and now this is me authentically. Like y'all realize I was supposed to be married yesterday? Imagine if I was still a goofy for her and she pulled this stunt after we were already married. That's crazy as hell." I said. "Yeah definitely crazier than a fish with titties." Jay said and we all looked at this nigga and laughed. I don't know what be on bro's mind for real. "Or y'all would just have to join us in this poly-life." Mar said with a shrug. "Wait...but in you two's cases, you're the only guy. You're saying he'd share his wife." Jose said. "No my young brother. Poly has its different forms. They could be married and dude could be her boyfriend and Tony here could have a girlfriend. That does work too." Riek said interjecting with his outlook. "There's no wrong way to poly, it's just what's agreed upon and respected. I mean I wouldn't mind if they wanted another dude. In fact, I support it, because if you don't feel fulfilled, I want you to. But it's not for everyone, you gotta be strong minded." he said. "I can't wrap my head around the concept for real. I respect any union and how it works for those involved but I can't see it working out for more than 2." I said. "You say that now, but it may change for you. Like realistically I used to think like that too. Until Nicole, then came Erica. It and Zion really made it complete. Like sometimes you don't know until you know for real." Mar said to me. "That's easy for y'all to say, Suki would N E V E R!! And I know she standing on that." Jay said and we all laughed because yeah she's definitely not going for it. "In your case, yeah it's slow. But on the real for Tone, it has potential to work. He didn't lie to Rita about their situation and she was still willing to deal with him. Toya was real with Dox about her situation and they making it work. So they all could still play their parts." Riek said. We all just kind of looked around for a moment and I came to the realization that he had a point but I'm not sure if that's really something I'd want to do. "Looks like that has your little wheels turning though." Jose said to me. "Because he never thought about it in that sense. Now you got him contemplating the meaning of life and shit." Mar said and we all collectively laughed. "I didn't say all that, but I just don't even think I can do that to Rita for real though." I said and then Jay had this deadlock stare on me. "What?" I asked him. "So...you love her?" he asked me. I just looked over at him. "Duh! We know T ain't the type of nigga to just be running in these females without feeling some type of way about shorty." C Money said. "Mind you, you used the right terminology because I do love shorty but not like in love with her though. But shit you know how it is to bond with somebody." I admitted. "Oh bruh I knew you wasn't off the deep end with it, but you have a lot of respect for her and it shows. I completely respect it my G." Jay said. "And this is how poly begins. I'm just saying. Y'all gone get comfortable in these positions and it'll just manifest itself before your very eyes." Riek said passively. "Or he might leave Toya all together." Jose said and we looked at him. "I'm just saying when you started getting a feel for something real, it be all over for whatshername." He ain't never lied.
