The room above

Right now I'm in my room sleeping or trying to sleep but I can't because of the constant noise coming from downstairs. I don't wanna go down but I feel like I have to because if I don't I won't get any sleep. I got up walked to my door to open it. My door creeked open and I walked downstairs. When I got downstairs everything was dark. The only source of light was the moonlight. As I started for the kitchen I seen a figure standing by the couch. What the freak is that. I walk closer for further inspection but the closer I got the more the dark figure faded away. As I turn around to walk back to my room I hear a loud this come from the kitchen. After I heard that I made a b-line for my bed room. Whatever that was I hope it wasn't anything that could hurt me..........
