It had been exactly one week since Aria had brought Ezra back home from the hospital. So to celebrate she bought some key lime pie.
"Wow. This is the best key lime pie I've ever had!" Ezra told Aria.
"Yea it was quite expensive, but it was totally worth it" she said, as she shoveled another bite of pie into her mouth.
"It's been exactly one week since you got out of the hospital so I wanted to get something special" she said, beaming a smile at him, as he continued to savor the pie. She wanted to tell him that she pregnant, and, she knew he would eventually find out,since she did have a tiny bump on her stomach.
"Ezra, there's something I've been wanting to tell you" Aria said, beginning to cry, due to her hormones. "Is something wrong, Aria? You know you can tell me, whatever it is"
"It's just-"Aria was sobbing. Ezra came over and comforted her. "Ezra, I'm-I'm-I'm... I'm pregnant" Aria finally managed for the words to escape her mouth. She cried even more, but this time it was because she was happy. "Aria, this is amazing, why didn't you tell me earlier?" Ezra said, smiling.
"I didn't want to overwhelm you because you had just gotten back from the hospital and I know you would remember that I lied to you" Aria was upset with herself for lying. "Why did you even lie to me Aria? This is fantastic news. How long have you known?" Ezra asked her.
"Four weeks, I found out the day you were admitted to the hospital. I really wanted to tell you but I didn't want to confuse you anymore than you already were" she said. He lifted her shirt, placing his hand on her stomach. He smiled at Aria. She wasn't sure what to think. "I wanted to do a big announcement, you know, make it special. I didn't want to just tell you" Aria told him.
"It's ok, it's not a big deal, I mean the baby is a big deal, but It's not like I care how you told me"
He leaned in, with his hands moving up into her shoulders, he planted his lips onto hers, as they interlocked with each other, their tongues dancing around in each other's mouths. She pulled away.
"Is something wrong?" Ezra asked her, as she ran off to the bathroom to throw up. Her morning sickness was making everything harder to do. She couldn't even watch an entire movie without having to run to the bathroom. He ran after her, gathering her hair and holding it up, wiping off her mouth. Ezra couldn't help but feel bad for her.
"Thanks" she muttered, getting up off of the ground.
Ezra brought her into a hug, she rested her head on his chest. They were completely silent for at least five minutes. She didn't want to let go of him. She couldn't. He made her feel like she was safe, and she knew everything would be alright. He kissed the top of her head. She got up on her tippy toes, and kissed him back.
"I'm hungry"
"Well, what would you like?"
"I'm not sure, but watermelon sounds pretty good to me right now"
"Ok then, I'll go get you some, but first I need you to lay down on the couch for me"
"okay" she skidded her feet across the floor, finally making her way over to the couch, and laying down on it. Ezra brought her a bowl of cut up watermelon, and sat down in the chair next to her. She devoured the watermelon. She was very, very hungry.

Time went by quickly, and Aria's bump grew more and more noticeable each week.
"We get to see the sonogram of our baby today! It's been eight weeks now! I'm so excited!!!!" Aria cried out. "I'm gonna need to get maternity clothes soon, my clothes barely fit anymore" she said to herself.
"Aria, are you ready to go to the doctor's?" Ezra yelled up the stairs. "Yeah, just give me a second!" Aria shouted.
She held onto the railing with one hand, and onto her belly with the other. Ezra greeted her at the bottom of the stairs. "You seem excited" Ezra said.
"I'm very excited, it's just you know it's our kid. I never thought this day would come, but here we are"
"I'm just as excited as you are, now come on, let's go. We don't want to be late"
"Oh yeah, we should probably get going"
Ezra put his hand behind her, his arm stretched across her lower back. His car keys in his other hand, as they walked out the door together.
