It was typical British weather! Ashley sat in her new bedroom. There were boxes and suitcases piled up in a corner.
She wasn't going to unpack! Not yet. On the plane journey, Ashley had had a real good think. She realised what she wanted to do with her life, and she would tell her grandparents exactly what it was.
She looked down at the addressed envelope in her hand. She would be posting that in the morning. It was addressed to her uncle.
She then took out the small parcel from her bag. Even though Micky had told her to open it on the plane, Ashley didn't want too. Not in front of her Grandmother.
She unwrapped the parcel and a huge smile spread across her face. She chuckled as she held up the necklace of the elephant. She immediately put on round her neck.
She noticed a small card in the parcel too. She took it out and opened it. All it said was:
