"Welp, I guess that's it for winter break. Now back to school. Yay." Ali says dryly. Ali just got back from winter break and didn't feel up to going to school. Ali was excited however, to go to her choir class. Singing was her passion and music was life to her. The bell rung for her to go to her 6th period class (a.k.a. Choir). She practically frolicked to the class she was so excited. She enters the room and sits in her original assigned spot, as always. All the students sit in their spots in the risers and prepare for the instructions given by the instructor, Mrs.Cannon. "So, this is a new year. I hope you all enjoyed your breaks and would love to hear how well they went. Before we get to that, I'd like to introduce our new student. Would you mind just saying your name, please?" The new guy gets up and says,"Hi, I'm Justin! Nice to meet you all!" He then sits down. Ali couldn't help but notice how physically attractive Justin was. She, being a "heavy set" girl, knew she had no chance with such an attractive guy. While Ali was mixed in her thoughts, Mrs.Cannon makes an announcement. "New year means new assigned seats! So would everyone please line up against the wall and I'll tell you where your seats are." Everyone does as they're told and waits to be seated. Mrs.Cannon calls out to Justin and directs him to his seat. Ali is so eager to know who she will sit with. Then Mrs.Cannon calls,"Ali, you will be sitting here, next to Justin." Ali quivers slightly, swallows her nerves, and sits next to her new crush. She thinks to herself,"Great! The day I meet a new cute guy, and I decide to wear my 80's looking leg warmers!! Sigh, I really need to face palm right now" She sits and takes a quick glance at Justin then turns away. Ali felt someone tugging on her leg warmer, and to her surprise, it was Justin. She then looks into her thoughts once more,"Say something to him! No, just keep it on the low. No, wait! Try and make friends with him, and see where that leads!" So, Ali makes her move. "Ha ha, what are you doing?" Justin looks up, smiles, and says,"I was fixing your leg warmer cause it was down to your ankle. Sorry, I didn't mean to come off weird." Ali giggles and replies,"It's fine, really. Thank you for fixing it for me." "You're welcome. Uh...where are my manners? I'm Justin" Ali holds out her hand to shake his and says,"I'm Ali. Pleased to meet your acquaintance." They both chuckle then Ali has another thought in her head,"What if he doesn't know anyone here at Memorial? Maybe he'd like to be friends and I can show him around the campus." Ali hesitates for a second then asks Justin,"Um...do you have any friends here?" Justin replied,"No, I don't unfortunately." Ali sees the opportunity, and she doesn't hesitate to take it. "So you don't have anyone to eat with at lunch after this class?" "No" Ali smiles and says,"Well, would you like to join me and my friends for lunch? That way you don't have to be alone on your first day." Justin looks at Ali and smiles. "I'd like that. Thank you." As soon as class is over, the bell rings, and Ali and Justin walk out of the classroom together. Ali figured she'd ask the basic "new kid" questions. "So what school are you coming from?" "I'm from Travis. It's a really 'high quality' school. Not like here." "Oh, well, I hope you like it here at Memorial. It's not much, but the education is great." As they walk into the cafeteria, Ali introduces Justin to her friends. "Hey guys! This is my new friend, Justin. He just moved here." Everyone says hi to Justin. And none of Ali's friends could keep their eyes off him.
