"Ghirahim, are you sure that you know where we're going? We've been walking in these woods for almost three days now, and I'm starting to think that we're lost. Not to mention, I feel weak." He stopped in his tracks, turning to look at his sister, and all that was left of what they once had. Her once shining emeralds, seemed dull and tired, beautiful long flowing sunshine hair had lost its glow, two months of running, having done nothing good for her. "I'm sure. Just hang in there a little bit longer, we should arrive any day now." He brought her close, feeling how weak she truly had become. They hardly ever slept, and it was taking its toll, thankfully they had been managing to find berries and other fruit to live off of, and that was probably the only thing keeping them alive, along with the fact that they were keeping out of sight, as not to be spotted, so Demise wouldn't catch word of where they were. The charm around Raven's neck suddenly began to glow a deep crimson, warning them of danger. Ghirahim grabbed Raven, and hid in some nearby brush, covering the charm so whatever it was wouldn't find them. "Where are they?" Ghirahim peeked out, and wished he didn't, having caught sight of one of Demise's soldiers, the telltale snake scale patterned armor on his arms giving it away. They stayed in their hiding spot for what seemed like hours, until Raven's necklace stopped glowing. "Let's go. We should be fine now. But be careful." Raven nodded, using what magic she could to help keep them hidden. They walked for a few more hours, the sun had almost set, they planned to keep going, until Raven found a large tree with an open knot in it. "Ghirahim, could we possibly rest for the night? There's a big knot in the tree above us." She pointed upwards, showing her brother the hole. He agreed, know that they both need to at least get a little bit of sleep, after having gone for two days strait without it. Raven clambered up first, making sure that there wasn't anything living in there, or that they were going to be spotted. She nodded down to him, telling her brother it was safe, before he climbed up, Raven pulling him in, before he used an illusion to cover the hole, just in case someone or something came up here. Ghirahim layed against one of the walls, Raven curling up next to him, he looked around, wondering if it was truly safe, before spotting a small hole in the wall, moon beams and starlight shining through, thinking of how weak Raven had gotten, he moved her charm so it would lay on the floor right where the light was shining, allowing Raven to soak up the energy, and hopefully giver her strength. It dimly flashed, showing that she was receiving energy, the light reminding Ghirahim of they day he bought it for her. The beautiful pearl chain, the opal placed so delicately a pearl setting, fashioned so it would resemble a butterfly. Raven had always loved butterflies, so he bought it for her, and she never took it off, soon discovering that it helped with her magic. A sudden double boom far in the distance caught his attention, it was quiet enough that Raven didn't hear, but loud enough to cause him concern. He kept his head raised slightly, listening for another, knowing if he heard it again, it was Demise, trying to scare Raven. The sound had always reminded her of thunder and lightning, and she had always feared it greatly. Sometimes it was just to much for her, and she would begin crying out for him, causing them to almost get captured twice, normally she would just hide, or cry silently. Both times, he had been trying to lead them away, using an illusion that they had created to act as them, while both hid in a different tree. She wasn't very far from him, and they could see eachother perfectly, but they had set off cannons, and it was just their luck that it was raining, so the sounds of many cannons firing off, trying to hit the fakes had gotten to her, and she began to cry loudly, calling his name, in complete panic, attracting attention. He had hopped across the branches, trying to get to her before they could, and just barely made it to her, before they did. He managed to calm her down, quieting her loud cries, as they rushed by, never looking up. Looked to her sleeping form, and brushed a sunshine lock, behind her ear, seeing the change in her appearance, and how much better she looked. He layed his head on her side, laying it so he could hear if anything came, and be ready to protect Raven at all cost, closing his eyes and falling into a light sleep, ready for whatever could try and come at them. In the morning, Ghirahim woke up to the sun shining in his eyes, and Raven still asleep next to him. "Come on Raven. It's time to get up, we need to keep moving." He shook her, only to have his hand batted away, before she turned over so she was on her stomach. Knowing that she was going to play hardball, he decided to do what any good brother would do to get his sister up: Poke her until she did. He started with her back, and worked his way up, before going to the back of her neck and down her shoulder, making his way down her arm, and to her side, before finally getting her side, causing her to bolt up, and nearly slap him. "Ghirahim, don't do that." He chuckled, before leaving her side, and poking his head out of the tree, slaping himself in the face, at what he saw over the tree line. "Found it. And it's only a quick jog away, we just need to watch our step, or we could set off a trap." "Or we could just go by tree. Demise and his men can't climb, so if we go by tree and he just so happens to come by, we'll be safe." Ghirahim nodded with Raven's idea, and took to hopping from branch, with her close behind. They were quick, and soon made it to the hidden clearing, the castle before them large and intimadating. "We're not actually going to go in there are we?" "Raven, I promise that we'll be safe here. Ganondorf won't hurt us." Ghirahim held out his hand, which Raven took, feeling his heart's emotions, each one telling her it was safe. The sound of heavy metal footsteps caught Raven off guard, causing her to draw her sword, the blue blade shining brightly. Ghirahim gently pushed the blade down, sending his thoughts through the bond they had, telling her to put it away, and they would be safe. She did as told, and returned it to its sheath, still on edge. Ghirahim bowed, looking at Raven, she got the message, and followed his lead, getting down and bowing, the heavy footsteps came close and stopped infront of them. "Ghirahim, you're here a day early. Is this her?" The voice was deep, and scared Raven, causing her to shake. "Yes, her name is Raven." Raven felt a gloved hand on her shoulder. "You can move now." Her brother's voice spoke gently in her ear, calm and soothing, her fear disappearing as she stood, revealing her features to the man before her, with him revealing his to her. She was first met with a blue chest plate, before she looked up, and saw his fiery red hair, and green hued skin. She sight reminding her of Demise, to which she squeaked, and hid behind her brother, burying her face in the crook of his neck, trembling, hands gripping his shoulders tightly. The act of fear, earned a look towards Ghirahim, confusing clear on Ganondorf's face. "Sorry, you must remind her of Demise slightly. She'll warm up to you in about an hour, we both just need to stay close to her at the same time. She's done it before, we stayed at an inn, and the clerk reminded her of Demise, she warmed up to him rather quickly." Ganondorf nodded, unable to keep his eyes off the trembling girl. A rumble from the sky, made Raven squeal, her grip tightening. "Could we possibly go inside, and sit down for a bit? We've been traveling for a while, and Raven doesn't do well in a storm." Ganondorf led them inside to what appeared to be a dimly lit living room, he sat on one couch, while the siblings sat in another across from him, Raven being held close by Ghirahim, still shaking. The two men talked for what seemed like hours, mostly about what had happened to the duo during their travels, Raven, and other things, during that time Raven slowly calmed down, her shaking having stopped, and a peaceful look covering her face just letting wave after wave of her brother's love wash over her, think about all the good times they had in the past. "Raven, Raven, Raven. Ghirahim to Raven." She snapped out of her daydreams, looking to her brother, who was waving a gloved hand infront of her face. "Yes, did you want something?" "I was just telling Ganon about how you loved to sing, and noticed that you've calmed down. I asked him if he wanted to hear, and he would love to hear you, if it's ok with you. I haven't heard you in a few months, and he's never heard. Would you possibly be able to sing for us?" "S-Sure. Is there anything in particular you want to hear?" Ganon only shook his head. "Anything would be fine." "Ok, but if you don't like the song, feel free to let me know, I won't mind." She took a deep breath, placed her hands on the charm around her neck, closed her eyes, and felt the music flow from it, before singing.

Lingering in the last light of dusk

She vocalized quickly, the charm around her neck glowing in tune to her voice, making the dark room light up more. The colors it used for the light, seeming to dance on the walls.

Lies within the shadows of trust

Ganon was amazed at what she was doing. Lights dancing when she vocalized, music seeming to come from nowhere, almost as if some hidden person was playing for her.

I can't hold onto what I have lost

Ghirahim only sat there, having heard and seen her do this before, and it was still the most beautiful thing he had heard, nothing could compare.

Casting shadows into the light

Vocalizing in between each line, making the colors dance even more vibrantly, like a rainbow had been trapped in the room, and was trying to escape.

Hiding in the darkness of night

Ghirahim felt her joy wash over him through the bond, obviously happy to be singing again.

Carry me through the fight
Bathed in twilight

There was no pause between the next two lines, not even a vocalization, just more music, it seemed as if she was finished singing, and just waiting for the music to stop, it seemed to fade before coming back again, and just after Raven began to vocalize, only doing it for about a minute, before stopping and the music fading. She opened her eyes to see Ganondorf in pure shock, and Ghirahim happy as could be. "Why are you staring? Did I do something wrong?" Ganon shook his head, snapping himself out of it. "No, far from it. You've done something amazing. I would even go as far to say to was the most beautiful I've ever experienced in my life." "T-thank you." A sudden flash of lightning, had her crying lightly, jumping into her brother's arms, and repeating his name, in a lightly panicked tone. "Easy Raven, it's alright. Nothing's going to hurt you, it was just a little lightning." He held her trembling form close, rubbing her back, hoping to calm her, sending out pulse apoun pulse of love and protection, whispering sweet nothings, of how much he loved her, and would never let anything hurt her, but to no avail as the sky continued to flash and rumble, its harsh rain hitting the large stained glass windows. "Could we possibly go to our room? It's late anyway." Ganondorf nodded, leading them up a set of stairs, towards a pair of double doors, a white dragon painted on each. He opened the door so Ghirahim could walk through, since he was carrying Raven. "If you need anything, just call, and one of my servants will come and tend to you." He closed the door and walked off, his steps echoing through the hall. Ghirahim sat on the red silk canopy bed, still holding Raven, looking around, and seeing that the curtains were drawn back, revealing the flashes of the storm, with a flick of his finger, they sped close, their dark color hiding each flash. "Raven, there's no reason to be afraid. It's not going to hurt you, I promise." He set her on the bed, and continued to hold her close, repeating his actions from before, continuing to try and sooth her, but still having no luck. He went back to whispering sweet nothings in her ear, reminding her how much he loved her, that she mean the world to him, he would protect her with his life, nothing would ever hurt her, and he would always stay by her side. She stopped crying, and seemed a little bit calmer, he decided to hum their father's lullaby, remembering that he always sang it to them on a stormy night, when she would cry loudly, and hide in his bed, refusing to leave, it was a bit annoying the first time, until he realized that she saw him as a form of protection and loved him with all her heart, from that moment on he promised to stay by her side, and keep close to her. Her breathing became light, eyes closed, and grip loosening, telling him that she had fallen asleep. He layed her down, and layed next to her, keeping her small form in his arms, wanting her to feel safe here.

A/N: The sword is Raven's sword, and is you haven't guessed it by now, the song that Ghirahim hummed for Raven was Lullaby For A Stormy Night Male Version. I might have him actually sing it later on, I'm not sure yet. But I hope you liked the first chapter, some of this was written with a minor case of writer's block, and I have never in my life played a LOZ game, but I do know bits and pieces about the franchise from videos. And this is my AU, so it kinda moves the way I want to. Also my brother finally came home from the hospital, after having a nasty case of heart worms, and I'm so excited to have him home. Until next time bye.
