On this particular morning, I woke up fully refreshed and eager to complete whatever I had in store for me today. I was mostly excited because my final apparition test, the one that would determine whether or not I got my apparition license, was today and I was so ready for it. I was a bit nervous due to the fact that I had never successfully apparated, but I was always within inches of the preferred target, and the instructors always tell us that the first time you successfully apparate, you're very likely to throw up. Oliver had told me the same thing, he had thrown up after his anyways. I couldn't wipe the goofy grin off of my face as I jumped down from my bed and walked over to the dresser. I pulled out all the pieces of my uniform and slid them on, fastening both my Captain's and Head Girl's pin to the front of my robes. I tied my shoes before walking over to the bathroom and straightening my hair, brushing my teeth, and putting on a bit of makeup.
"Good luck today, Mags. I'll try to see if I can make it to your testing. They let people watch, you know?" Katie said as I walked out of the door.
"You don't have to go, it's just a test," I called, turning to face her.
"What are you talking about? You're the last one of our little group to get yours! We were all there for each other's testing, since we were in the same class, so we'll definitely be there for yours," she answered as I groaned and began walking down the stairs to the common room. I sighed, it was sweet of them to want to come, but it would be added pressure and they'd all probably see me throw up; I was fairly certain that it would happen.
"Morning Mags, excited for your test?" Angelina asked from her spot on couch next to George. Oliver and Fred were both on chairs next to the couch, so I walked over to the one that Oliver was sitting in and sat on the arm of the chair.
"Somewhat. I'm a bit nervous, but I think I can do it," I answered, smiling a bit as Oliver rubbed my lower back with the hand that was closest to me.
"Don't worry, Fred and I'll be there with a bucket, in case you throw up. You probably will," George teased, smirking as I groaned.
"Shut up. You all have to promise not to laugh if I do. It's a common thing, I'm sure all of you did," I answered, glaring at the twins.
"We didn't," they answered at the same time, identical smirks on their faces.
"When's your test anyways?" Oliver asked, tracing his fingers along my spine.
"Right after breakfast," I answered as Katie walked down the stairs. "Let's go, I'm hungry."
"The more you eat, the more that'll come up," George reminded as we all stood up and headed out of the common room.
"Shut up," I grumbled, smacking his shoulder before we all started down the stairs to the Great Hall. We were already about thirty minutes late to breakfast, which was fifty minutes long, so we had just enough time to actually eat and hang out today. Other than apparition, I didn't have any other classes today, nor did anyone else, so I was the only one dressed in my uniform, which I had to wear for my test.
"You'll do great, I know it," Oliver whispered in my ear before pressing a kiss to my cheek as we walked into the Great Hall.
"You're the best," I answered, kissing his lips gently.
"I know," he murmured against my lips, making us both laugh.
"Cheeky git," I joked, sitting down at the bench of the Gryffindor table next to Hermione, who smiled at me as I sat down.
"Hey Mags," she said as I grabbed a bowl of cereal from the middle of the table and poured myself a mug of coffee.
"Hey Hermione," I answered, taking a small sip of my coffee and feeling instantly more awake. "How's your morning so far?"
